What’s your fav sport to watch in 2025

#1 - Baseball ⚾️

I have to say.. baseball ⚾️ really is heaven.  No wonder they made a classic movie about it “Field of Dreams” being Heaven.  And even the Robert Redford movie had a spiritual dimension to it.  Here’s why baseball is the best to watch in 2025

—Royals are good again, thank god.  I don’t know how it happened with no money but if they weren’t good I don’t think I could get into the sport watching their usual 100 loss teams.  By some miracle our starting pitchers just become lights out when they play for the Royals, even if they weren’t as great in the minors or on other teams.  The latest two guys are Bubic who is a Cy Young contender and a guy from TripleAAA Noah Cameron that’s had the best start in league history for a rookie in his first five starts

—it’s America’s pastime. As you already know about me I never moved on from 1996, so there is nothing quite like the nostalgia of baseball and the memories it brings.  I was one of only 4 kids to hit the ball out of the park in 1996 cause I was high off Too Short “Gettin It” I’d just dubbed the single from a friend–I loved Little League and my 93’ team even one the championship.  Basketball was my main sport and I really regret not going all out with baseball and pushing myself to the max.  Because I remember days in little league far more often now then I do indoor basketball.  There just isn’t the same magic as the nights at the park and the girls would come watch us, and I was actually popular in Little League days, so they’d come talk to me in the dugout, and the other guys would be like “who’s that?”  Then sometimes your old coach would come watch a game and see how you’ve been and tell you how much you’ve grown since the previous season.  I always had nice coaches, and a lot of love on every team I played on.  There was never one team where I felt I didn’t get along or like the coach.  One year, they even trained us to be umpires for the little kids, it was so much fun.  And our suburb was split between two schools so you’d get to see homies from the other school and girls from the other sides of the tracks.  Heaven

—it’s not woke, and whites can still dominate.  Yes, the Latin players are a little better but not enough to totally take over the culture of the game.  The NBA is so woke now and in the 90’s it was okay to never see a white face because hiphop culture was in its golden age, and black culture and hiphop culture were somewhat entertained.  But the “woke” skinny jeans generation can’t really relate to

—it’s played outdoors and the parks all look beautiful, so much more pleasing to the eyes then a NBA arena that looks all stuffy and conjested.

—the game sounds better on radio than any other game.  In basketball the action is too fast to really call it on radio.  Baseball moves ⚾️ slow and it sort of becomes like almost a podcast/baseball game.  Some of the commentators are really enjoyable to listen to.  And the sounds of the stadium are the sounds of summer and our youth.

Baseball has always been my favorite sport...the problem though was my team last won in '86 when I was like 4 years old and they went through a long dry spell in the 90s while the Knicks were a consistent playoff team...those Bulls-Knicks playoff series and then later the Heat-Knicks when Riley went to coach Miami were great theater...as far as the NFL I've always been a Bills fan since the Jim Kelly days and unfortunate 4 straight Super Bowl losses...it seems that we might have a window now to win a Super Bowl with Josh Allen's prime years right now

so I would say currently MLB but all time 90s NBA 8)

basketball is easily the most entertaining sport if we're being objective

now, the nba is unfortunately not the best ran league ... but the talent nowadays overshadows that when 2 heavyweights are goin at it

it's been a great playoffs thus far
