Did Daz and Snoop ever record together before Dre?
« on: June 17, 2025, 04:23:38 AM »
It is kind of interesting how Daz just popped up on the seen and a year or two later was suddenly the 2nd best producer in rap and solid enough on the mic to trade verses with Kurupt, Snoop, and Pac in their prime.

Like he ain’t even recording with Snoop and over in Oklahoma or some shit.. Snoop gets picked up by Dre and then suddenly Daz is there.

Daz wasn’t doing shit before that. He was too young he was along for the ride being in the studio with his cousin and learned from Dre as they went along and of course Soopafly. I feel like Soopafly musical genius is criminally overlooked

His mom or aunt was in the industry, but it’s still a crazy story to be like in Oklahoma having done nothing and then like suddenly, “oh hey my cousin got signed by Dre and so I’m gonna go over there be the second producer in the rap world and platinum recording artist for the next few years”

I mean at least Snoop, Nate, Warren had 213 and Kurupt was on that one album 💿 before ever meeting Snoop he’d been on a major label release.  But Daz came out of nowhere.

..yeah man what the fucc is up with Soopafly always getting overlooked

He isn't overlooked by me, I have been supporting Soopafly since day 1.  The hoes stood no chance when he got on the mic.  Snoop always tried to hold him down.  First by signing him and never releasing anything, and then putting him in Dubb Union with those other 2 nobodies.  Soopafly has had a hand in some of the biggest rap hits of all time.  He played keys on some big songs, some credited, some not.  And later on, ghost produced a lot of stuff for Daz.

This is true. I’ve witnessed your passion for Soopafly over the years

Bro Daz is not from Oklahoma he’s from Long Beach. He grew up there. Their (Snoop Daz RBX) parents generation came to Long Beach from Mississippi

Come on homie I’m not retarded I know all that, your splitting hairs.  I was just making it more dramatic cause he was hanging around OK in the early 90’s as well

And Soopafly is still working too. if you look at the BET Awards performance, he is doing background vocals with October London and J.Black

Yeah, i think he's still doing a lot of behind the scenes stuff.  Seems like he's kind of unofficially retired from rapping, other than occasional guest spot, most recently on Daz's new album, but it might be an older song.  It's a shame he never really checks bitches anymore. That's the only thing i miss about his work these days.

Now it's the opposite, Dre's current chaotic production style makes people sound worse than they really are.

Blasphemy !!

How darest thou speaketh of Daz name in vain, and claim that any mortal could hath done what Daz did… and this after your Labcabin brethren Siavash questioned my historical accuracy and knowledge of the Life DAZ hath lead !!

Don’t thou knowers that I had a shrine built to Daz Spring of 98’ when he rose up against the heathens of South and False Gods of the East, and from the ashes of Death Row produced Revenge, Retaliation, And Get Back which uplifted the spirits of Pac disciples who hath waited a healer of the West to give rise and set to the Eternal Sun 🌞

I remember my false father walkethed in my room Spring 98’ and saw my Daz shrine and he spake — “Daz, so he’s the man now?”  And yes for one shining spring and Easter Daz was the our Shining Prince 🤴

And he hath once again been reborn with RRGB2 the sequel and Reserection !!!
