Which song represents west coast rap music the most?
« on: June 23, 2025, 11:31:32 AM »
From golden age era to g funk era, from g-funk era to gangsta rap, is there any song that you think it represent whole eras from late 80s to today on its own?

If you have to give only one example about what is west coast rap music to someone who has no idea about it, which song would it be?

Many times i think about it and it always ends up with same answer. "You know how we do it". Sometimes "to live and die in la" teases me to pick it but i'm not sure.

What do you think?

“California Love” for me

Yeah, main theme, piano riff, talk box, synth bass, represents the west coast very well. Why my choice is not califoria love, it doesnt have female vocal, guitar and lead.
