Daz Dillinger Vs. Snoop Dogg

"Well, if I were Daz, I wouldn't sell my ass either!" Then Kokane speaks up.
How can it be?

Hennesey 'N' Buddah (Feat. Kokane & Traci Nelson)
True Lies (Feat. Kokane)
Wrong Idea (Feat. Bad Azz, Kokane & Lil Half Dead)
Go Away (Feat. Kokane)
Stacey Adams (Feat. Kokane)
Bring It On (Feat. Suga Free & Kokane)
Brake Fluid (Biiittch Pump Yo Brakes) (Feat. Kokane)

Paper'd Up (Feat. Kokane & Traci Nelson)
Hourglass (Feat. Kokane & Goldie Loc)
I Miss That Bitch (Feat. E-White & Kokane)

or Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Kane

Sorry to say this, but I think Snoop was, is, and always will be a jerk.
And I think Kokane was there. What did Butch Cassidy say... he was always there, and it's simply about the time. Sure, now people say he didn't know any better, but if Snoop asks you if you want to sing a hook on the new album? Of course he says YES.
Daz is comparable to The Game in that respect.
But even if everyone says they're crazy, they're simply right about what they say.
And don't tell me what Daz produced!!!?? So many hits!

Off-topic opinion, but the unreleased version of Paper'd up (Money Weak) is 1000x better

Snoop said it many times, he is opening the door, and its for you to take advantage and do your work to expand your craft. When Snoop put Kokane of half of Tha Last Meal, he had a little motion, he was even working with Puff. What did Kokane do afterwards? Kokane needs Snoop regardless of the agreement and how shady he is.

Daz; What hits? outside of the West Coast genre or excluding the All Eyes On Me album..What Hits? in the last 20 years...

I think Kokane really was the main factor that made Tha Last Meal album what it was...that and the Dre production

but "Brake Fluid" still hurts my ears when I listen to it :-\

Where would Daz be without Snoop.  If Snoop woulda left his ass in Oklahoma.

...I know ya'll love Dogg Food, everyone loves it, great, classic, flawless album.  But did you know that shit only went platinum cause people thought it was Snoop's group?  My brother still doesn't know who Daz and Kurupt are.   But everyone knows who Snoop is.  That shit sold cause of Snoop.

That doesn't give Snoop the right to take Daz shit, but Daz should be more careful and greatful to his big cousins.  Why can't he just say,

"I love Snoop and I owe my career to him, and that's my big cousin.  But I can't give over my shit.  That's my ownership and I don't want to sell. So with all the love and respect I have to say no."

Shit... then I'm siding with Snoop even harder then.  Because Snoop put them on!!  When Snoop had Kurupt jogging behind him in the "Who Am I" video and he was rapping,

"With the dogg pound right behind me/
and up in your bitch is where you might find me"

Kurupt is hollering, "What's your name FOOL!"

It's the best selling hardcore rap album of all time.  The 3rd big single he gets Ricky Harris to come out there like, "We got Snoop Dogg, the Dogg Pound, and the Fabulous Dramatics!"

That's about the biggest set up any artists can get.

And the Dogg Pound was originally named after the chill spot at Snoop's apartment where all the homies chilled when they was recording Chronic and then Doggystyle in the early dayz of Death Row.  That was Snoop's mutherfucking apartment.  SNOOP MADE THE DAMN DOGG POUND AND PUT THEM ON AND BLEW THEM UP AND RAPPED THE CHORUS AND KICKED DOWN THE MUTHERFUCKIN BUILDINGS IN NY!!

If he wanna take the damn trademark that's his right!   And I love Daz but Daz trippin

Sure homie i agree with you Snoop Dogg put them on but why should daz give his publishings to Snoop?

Daz did those Songs on  albums NOT Snoop

Now u say if it wasnt for Snoop Daz wouldn't and couldn't be NO PART in the whole picture but what Daz did should be his not anybody else no matter what.

Yeah homie, I agree with you about the songs.

I was talking about the trademark.  Sccit was saying that Snoop tried to take the trademark, and I also listened to the recent interview where Daz was saying he drew the logo and Snoop wants to take the logo but that Daz is the one that came up with the logo so I guess the logo and the trademark is what we are discussing here, and for that I think Snoop has as much right to the logo/trademark as Daz does because Snoop is the one who founded Dogg Pound and put them on.

It’s like D-12.  Imagine if Eminem wanted the rights to the D-12 logo/trademark whatever, and Proof was still alive and like calling him a bitch and shit like that.  We would all say that Proof is trippin.  And by the way Eminem does own the rights to the D-12 logo.

Didn't Daz and BG Knocc Out try to trademark Ruthless records? Anyone remember that? Didn't Daz steal music from DR? Oh, okay.

Just like Dre put Snoop on.  So should Snoop give all his stuff to Dre?  Just as Dre was put on by someone else, and someone else put them on, and so on and so on.....That's what you do.

1st off I said Daz should own his music, but I was saying the Dogg Pound logo/trademark could be Snoops especially since Snoop bought Death Row

2nd, you can’t compare Dre puttin Snoop on with Snoop puttin DPG on.  Like I said, my brother (average music fan) knows Snoops name but not Daz and Kurupt name.

When “Deep Cover”, “G Thang”, and “Dre Day” dropped I actually thought Snoop and Dre were a group, Snoop was the bigger star on all of those tracks.  I know cause I was a kid at the time and yeah I thought whoever this Dr Dre guy is he’s clearly someone major — but it was Snoop that kids was trying to be like Mike
