Shit, Hittman verses on 2001 kill any of Games raps.

That song 'Dont Trip', Game tried so hard to out-shine Cube and Dre, that he spat two try hard verses last and first...the OGs should of slapped him for fuckin up the song like that.

Game has his issues but he can rap better than Hittman imo

just check out the tracks he has done with Nas

Yeah that shits a banger man that HipHop is Dead album was like my anthem for the whole year 2007. It’s so underrated like one of the most memorable albums in history for me subjectively

“Dre he a Compton Compton O.G./
Nas he a QB QB O.G!!”

You right that no way Hittman could’ve came like that on that track.  It’s like they took Hitt off “What’s The Difference” and look how much Hittman got outshined and taken off the joint

yeah that was the last album that I thought was classic from Nas

don't get me wrong he has consistently dropped dope albums in the last 5-7 years or so but not on that level

The goal post was moved from compton to the west coast.
If we are talking talent alone, who is above Game from compton?

while i'm not a fan of games antics..

he had a few mainstream hits and can definitely rap .. documentary was a number 1 album and went multi-platinum .. same with doctors advocate .. LAX debuted at number 2 on billboard charts and the red album had him back at number 1

let's not pretend he's some obscure underground artist here .. might nota been a global icon like 50, but saying he was never mainstream is a stretch

Well, my exact quote was 'he never blew up mainstream like 50 cent did'.  Of course he had a few mainstream hits.  My opinion still stands though that if you ask a casual music fan who 50 cent is and who Game is, more people are going to know 50 cent by a wide margin.  There's a reason why Dre wanted 50 at the Super Bowl and not Game, let's keep it real.

He's in the top 25 Westcoast rappers, i'd have a hard time putting him in top 10.

If talkin L.A., Game aint ever seeing a Ice-Cube 89-96, or a Snoop 92/93.

Compton?
That would make a good discussion for folks in barber shops over there.

Game is a legend in his own mind.

Not really sure how I feel about Game in the grand scheme of things.  His first album was a classic, and he's had some hits since then.  Never really blew up mainstream like 50 did.  Most casual music fans have no idea who he is.  Not that going mainstream makes you a success, but he also doesn't really have the respect of the true hip hop headz, like a De La Soul or Nas, people respect them even if they never really went mainstream.

I personally like his music, but I also like Tha Twinz and Soopafly, but i know they would never be put on the Mount Rushmore of greatest westcoast rappers.  It's hard for me to take myself out and try to look at his music from a nonbiased standpoint.

He actually does have the respect of true hip heads. Not sure where you got that from.

His social media presence is off putting to most but it's crazy that people want to downplay what Game actually did for the west coast at a time when nobody was making any noise. He opened the doors for so many people and helped artists get looks from labels that otherwise wouldn't have happened. He's 20 years in and still releasing high quality music.

I don't really see anyone really knocking Cube, Dre, Snoop, and Eazy off the mount rushmore of the Westcoast but when you look at the history for the west, Game's impact is etched in stone.

The Game is bipolar.

That out of the way, The Game can rap rap, calling himself the best from Compton is what he is supposed to do.

These people online thinking his statement was disrespect to Kendrick are hilarious..  Hip hop is a competitive sport, every serious rapper should be backing their skill set.

I like Kendrick a lot and I think he is a better rapper but since he won the battle with Drake, the glazing been in overdrive 😀

The Game know what he is doing with these Subs and interviews, making some kind of noise for Documentary 3

I kind of agree with your first statement, but just like Hip-Hop is Dead is under-rated, I thought Distant Relatives was severely under-rated.  That shit is like a classic album to me. I know it's not a solo its sort of a duo album.  But to me it's a classic and it's as good as Hip-Hop is Dead.  The Untitled album and the Life is Good album weren't as good as Hip-Hop is Dead, but I think Nas was still in the zone.  So to me, I cut it off after Life Is Good.  To me that's when Nas changed and fell off was in the years after Life is Good.  This is the last of prime Nas to me and better than any of the HitBoy stuff, shit bangs in my 99' Camri by the way...

Illmatic (objective classic)
...Nas still makes bangers but the next few albums were perceived as let downs at the time
Stillmatic (Classic Comeback album)
God's Son (Another Great album near classic)
Streets Disciple (A Bit of a Let Down)
...comes back strong with Hip-Hop is Dead for yet another great run
...falls off again after Life is Good

People still like these HitBoy albums he's done in recent years, and you can still hear Nas distinct style, flow, and lyrics, but they don't properly reflect the times for me.  Nas albums used to always speak to the times, like Hip-Hop Is Dead was along with Aftermath Presents one of the most timely albums in hip-hop history.  The new ones to me don't hit me at all cause it's just like, "oh cool, Nas knows how to rap and the beats are nice" but it just ain't the times no more.
