you're conflating two things hunger is not something u can force, no matter how hard u try u can give it your all but still lack that natural relentlessness that you had back in your youth some people retain that hunger forever .. but typically what happens to people is that they lose that edge with age it's not a physical thing, it's a spiritual thing for instance, in sports, you are 100% going to decline physically .. no way around itin music, drive tends to subside with age, but a select few do retain that drive foreverhunger is not something you consciously decide to have .. it comes from within
Alot of rapper have. Even in the battle rap community. I wont bother with a list because it will just lead to my opinion versus your argument. Nas being the pinnacle of lyricism is a industry narrative.
I get that....so what do you think was the cause of RBX's slowdown lyrically? If it wasn't age, what do you attribute it to? Like you said, you were in the studio with him, pushing him, producing him, making him to retakes to get it just right, so obviously the drive was there, at least through your end if nothing else. What could it be?
he was in a deep depression when we approached him about doing the album hence the hibernation shivers concept .. waking up from a deep slumber he was very optimistic but the natural confidence and feeling of ready to take over the world will naturally decline when you lack that level of satisfaction with your position in life and most your life is behind you
Appreciate you being so honest and straightforward about his struggles. Right, so age. Realizing the majority of his life was behind him and not satisfied with his position in life and realizing there isn't much time left to correct that would cause depression which would affect your rapping ability, absolutely. Age definitely a factor.
stop bein scary n just speak your mind bruh who cares how others will respond? if u believe something then say it wit your chest
I love netbangin and talking gangsta shit on dese keys... but one thing I will never do... not in words... and not in typing, is misuse "scary". That's always been the most annoying ebonics black spin on Standard English.I know you already know this cause you are a high IQ Jew who just happens to speak hip-hop lingo, but for the other folx at home. The correct phrase is "scared" not "scary". I will use them below in their proper (white) form.1. The gazelle was scared of a lion.2. The lion is the alphamale of the jungle and therefore the lion can be scary to other animals. The gazelle was scared of the lion.
it's not folx it's folks if u scared go to temple
folx is alright with me.. but I draw the line at "scary"
i think maybe cuz you're from kc so u mighta only heard it in music growin up in lausd it was common vernacular no different from slang words like "tight" or "hard" for us back in them days
yeah even Pac said it... but not me.. that's where I draw the line on bad grammar, cause what word are you going to use if someone or something actually is scary like SCARY MOVIE.. it don't make no sense
