Actually I was thinking the same thing when Game said he was the best in Compton—but I thought I’d get blasted for saying so on here.  Imagine if all the lyrics we heard from Dre over the years were actually his own, then I would have him in my top 10 rappers for sure

defination of an emcee is very confusing. some says its more about lyrical ability and wordplays like you say, some says its about live performance and being an entertainer on stage.

for example krs one describes it as an Emcee is to host the show as a Master of the Ceremonies.

according to Krs One, dre beats every other fucking rapper when it comes to being a master of ceremonies on stage.

as a lyricist i can say Game is better than dre.

Unpopular opinion but personally I prefer The Game as a rapper compared to Dr. Dre.

That’s not to say I don’t think Dre is a good rapper and I still listen to his music all the time, but The Game is a more natural rapper and can come with different flows and cadences from time to time compared to Dre who when he’s not rapping like he normally does puts on that forced Kendrick Lamar-like voice and flow which I’m not a fan of at all.

Like a lot of people I lost respect for KRS when he didn't have shit to say 2020-22 when they were putting the world population on lockdown, masks, and shots.  Before that I used to read his books and listen to his lectures.

Anyway, this is another fun little debate, and I think KRS is bias on this one.  Here's my explanation:

MC is sort of like the ol school term for a rapper.  So it carries with it a certain sense of ol school authenticity.  So when someone wants to award a rapper with the distinction of being an M.C. it means that their style pleases a lot of the old heads and pioneers like KRS.  Plus, since M.C. technically is an acronym for Master of Ceremonies or to Move the Crowd it would mean that they can hold down a live performance. 

It's a fun debate anyway.  But to me it's just saying like any rapper that has that respect of the ol school pioneers because he handles his business in a way similar to the golden era of late 80's M.C.'s/rappers
