The new Daz interview with Vlad would've been so much better if ART actually cared and knew about some of the more secondary acts and figures that came through Death Row.  Like Daz sort of on his own offers some interesting and never before heard material like Snoop beating up Soopafly or some shit about how Soopafly had to be disciplined or jumped in to join the Dogg Pound Gang.  I'm not sure if Art cuts him off but he definitely doesn't ask any follow ups and quickly switches to something else in moments like that.

a lot of these stories are well known

I don't blame Daz one bit, he deserves to get compensated for his contributions

Naw homie.. he's always got more... just when you think you heard it all now he's got some crazy Janet Jackson story of him being at the Jackson home as a kid!!

And VLAD doesn't even know what the average dubcc head knows to make the connection and follow up question like, "wait, and then years later Dogg Pound first record as a group is on Poetic Justice?!?"   That's storytelling right there,  You have to make that connection if you are an interviewer.  I made a thread about it

so it's always the fault of the interviewer because they don't know the stuff a real fan would know, so Daz is always dropping new info that's hella crazy, and they don't pick up on it

I can tell you right now that never happened. THE MAN Soopafly would have whipped Snoops skinny ass if he ever tried to put his hands on Fly.

Come on homie, you know better than that.  It sounds like this incident happened in 95-96 era where Snoop was arguably the #1 artist in the whole world.  Remember, SNOOP was the headliner at the House of Blues.  Snoop technically didn't lose his #1 spot until he had his first letdown with Doggfather (and Pac's Macheveli was damn near Biblical in proportion making him the clear #1)

So Snoop was the leader of the Dogg Pound and they were all loyal to him and part of showing your loyalty was taking the ass beating like a man.  Not to mention, Soopafly is skinny just like Snoop even if he tried

oh I'm not complaining, I could listen to Daz talk all day about those Death Row years

as much as they say Daz embellishes I would believe him over Snoop any time

LostSkanless

Not saying this is the real story but here's my input... I interviewed DR artists at least 15-20 years ago that were not part of the Outlawz or the DPG about this. From what they told me it was 2pac vs Sam Sneed at first and Sam got the best of Pac that's why the Outlawz jumped in. For some reason no one that was at DR wants to say anything negative about 2pac and they have let stories like this run wild. Let's be real 2pac did a lot of shady things when he was with DR, but I think Suge had a lot to do with it.

Are you serious?  Fly had I Dont Hang and Put The Monkey In It from 2 major motion picture soundtracks!  Plus doing all kinds of production work in 94 for MWTC. Fly was huge waaay before 96.  Not to mention everything he did on 19th street records.  He did not need Snoop. The only people Fly would have allowed to put their hands on him would be bitches. And if they did it too long he would slap the shit outta them.
