There was a FIRE "Dogg Pound Mixtape" that was floating on here around the same time the WideAwake LBC crew album came out in 2013

The Dogg Pound Mixtape had a lot of these Dogg Pound gems when they were at the end of their Death Row prime
what mixtape R U talking bout?

Cube was originally on the Cavi-Hit! Most streamed DPG song (Spotify).
Ice was on the last verse, which Dat Nigga Daz says was hard but didnt have the budget to pay for it.

Daz still got that version.

That song was leaked back in 98/99 on one of those westcoast rap sites. Possilby Westside 2K. It was in real audio format if I remember correctly. I had it (don't anymore, but been searching for years). Cube's verse is at the end and was pretty short.

I don't know how this stuff works, but it's interesting that they couldn't clear Cube when he was on Priority and they released the soundtrack. I kind of wonder if Priority just wanted Mack 10 to get a big placement without Cube being there, so that he could stand on his own a little bit since they were attached to the hip to that point. Probably a good call, to be honest.

Everyone has a fee they charge for features, on top of the fee to appear in the music video, fee to tour for the song, etc. - They probably couldn't afford any of it. The site it (The Version with Cube) leaked on was Playa P's Death Row website via tape rip if anyone remembers that site.

I definitely remember that site. Was one of my go-to's. I bought mixtapes off that site back in the day.

Of course people have it. They are just not giving it away to the public. I'm sure there are hundreds of songs like this from back in the day.

It was low quality and I think it was a recycled Cube verse. I tried to add it to the song but couldn't get the quality right. And it was a real audio file for the old heads who remember that.

most of the files that I downloaded from Westcoast 2k back in the day were real audio

anyway they're long gone now after my old computer crashed
