Too bad... I've never liked Ludacris much for some reason.  He's not the worst guy or artist and he's always showed love to Dre/Snoop/DPG affiliates...

...but that could've been a HUGE song for Kurupt.  Imagine Space Boogie, as many Fred Wreck bangers as that album had, and coming out pre-G Unit era when record sales were still popping and Nate Dogg was on that unbelievable run of features, at the height of the dubcc, and still within the West Coast resurgence era.

Kurupt could have led off Space Boogie with "Area Codes" that could've broken Kurupt mainstream for the first and only time.  I feel like Dogg Pound (Daz and Kurupt) was never really mainstream anymore than you could say D12 was mainstream because I believe Dogg Food and D12 went double platinum because fans looked at it as "Snoops Group" and "Eminem's Group"

Not die hard fans like us but regular people still don't know who Kurupt is

it might have something to do with his beef with DMX at that time period and Def Jam removing him from the track...whatever the case I agree it would have been a great look for Kurupt...I don't mind Luda but in small doses, I never could get through a whole album of his

Most I ever got into it was a friend of mine who was really into sound system and stereo equipment wanted to play me Ludacris' album because he said it "bumped" well in the subwoofers and he banged out some tracks like "Throw Them Bows" and I thought it sound good for a listen but forgot about it after that

I don't know what the interviewers thought was so funny about it

I don't know homie, he was probably doing the same shit he did on Space Boogie because that was the stage in his career... in which case it wasn't Dogg Food level Kurupt but a good enough if over proper production.. I think everyone on here was at least satisfied with what we got on Space Boogie
