yeah I own the Jordan Rules...great insight in there about that team

I also own Have Gun, Will Travel by Ronin Ro another good book about Pac and Death Row

Damn homie.. we were even were reading the same books in that era.

Yeah, Have Gun Will Travel was like my favorite book when I bought it in 2000 — but when I went back and read it later it didn't seem that great probably because when it first came out the internet hadnt already over-saturated the Death Row stories

I agree. I have it too. It was a decent book at the time. But looking at it now, it's pretty weak compared to what's out there. Some of the information is inaccurate now that we have more information on things. Far from ‘great'.

Fun read at the time though.

a book that I forgot I had was Kool Moe Dee's There's a God on the Mic/50 greatest MCs

I appreciated the effort he went into grading every rapper but the list is kind of suspect

2Pac - 13
Cube - 18
Ras Kass - 21
Xzibit -27
Snoop -33
Ice T -35
Kurupt - 39
Mack 10 - 49

that's only 8 out of 50 from the West Coast

he also put Lauryn Hill at 10 and Nas at 11 ;D

Homie if you want hiphop books — the one people always miss — especially true Pac fans — is Darren Bastefields "Back in The Day" book about being best friends with 2pac in Baltimore.

There's many other great hiphop books — but I just wanted to mention that one since it seems nobody knows about it

Also it pissed me off this new narrative by YouTube conspiracists that 2pac is as just an "actor" and "feminine" and they just take one interview from a Pizza Place he worked at when he was like 18

But this proves how grimey and gangsta his life always was — as if people even needed a reminder considering Afeni was pregnant in prison with him
