Of course Daz is better.  All Eyez on Me is obvious proof. 

Warren G - "Definition of a Thug" and "How Long Will They Mourn Me" are great but not equal to "Ambitionz of a Ridah" and "2 of Americaz Most Wanted" and "I Ain't Mad at Cha"

and "Heartz of Men" is a spectacularly produced song, but it got overshadowed by Daz joints on the album

and the soundtrack Gang Related contains a few Daz classics like Way too major, mash for our dream, life so hard
and these songs are typically death row and Daz s sounds . No Dre , No Quik behind . Daz and Soopafly
Daz 's style is recognizable,consistent . he dont use many samples unlike Dr Dre

Quik was mix engineer of album. He mixed almost entire album. Somebody else mastered also. Percussion was handled by somebody else also. Producing is a team effort.

When anybody says "hey these daz songs are dope and classics but bla bla played instruments or bla bla mixed it" means nothing if you are trying to underrate daz. Thats a foolish move.

The mixing engineer and the recording engineer who register a song are not counted by those who wrote the song .same with the mastering .its necessary but its a background work .
The rapper ,the producer write the song. And sometimes the musicians if they add anyrhing  different

It's an interesting thought.....I'm not sure i agree yet, but a case could be made.  Look at Daz's body of work, even to this very day still making songs.  Even his latest track Devil Aint Shyt for Smith and Wesson, fire.  Ever since he started going on the podcast circuit and bringing attention to everything he's actually had his hands on since 93 to today, it's pretty impressive when you think about it.  Even for producing stuff outside of Death Row.

Quik has a lot of bangers, and for late 90's to 2010, he was the man....but he's done pretty much nothing the last decade of any note.  Warren G, again, had bangers in the 90's and early 2000's, but nothing much since then.  Daz continues to churn out hits.  Sure, he misses alot of the time and has definitely saturated the market, but a Daz beat in 2026 still holds weight.  Dunno about a Quik or Warren beat at this point.  And I love both their music, Quik and Warren have made timeless classics, but so has Daz, and he's been doing it longer now.  I'm pretty confident Daz has surpassed Warren in my eyes in my all time greatest producer list, and he is coming up on Quik, not there yet, but close.

it's very subjective issue.

some thinks daz is better some think warren or quick are better.

it depends on each person.

i would say quik > daz > warren for example.

anybody can say daz > warren > quik also and you shouldnt "LOL"

daz is a great producer i think. whether he works with soopafly or ivan johnson or mike dean or quik or dre... he always made hits, bangers and they all sounded pure daz! each time. it's quite the same with dre, whether he worked with colin wolfe or camara kambon or scott storch or mike elizondo. producer was always dre and all sounded pure dre. you can't see soopafly making bangers on his owns, you can't see colin wolfe making hits on his own. however thats not something negative, because they have a different gift rather than being a producer. they are good musicians and composers.

quik is a multi-instrumentalist, musician, mix engineer, producer... he is a motherfucking all in one type of producer. but that doesnt mean he is a better producer than daz or dre or warren or whoever. just because dj quik mixed daz's beats in all eyes on me doesnt make daz a worse producer also it doesnt make quik a better producer.

Dj Quik is a good musician and mixer but i dont really like his beats. Too soft or too complicated. I can hardly name 5 dope dj Quik beats, let alone hits (same goes for Battlecat). While Daz has many bangers, mostly in that 95-98 era (with whoever assisted him).

I put Daz next to Dre as a producer/rapper. After those two there is Pete Rock, Diamond D, Large Pro.

he's definitely not in Quik's league...Quik might be 2nd to only Dre

I would probably give the edge to Daz over Warren but that's just personal preference

Daz has not produced the caliber of album of G Funk Era unless you count Dogg Food and then he most certainly has

and then you have Daz's first 2 solos which are not on that level but pretty damn close to classic if not classic
