he turned down a plea deal worth 10 years for this btw one of the worst cases of unnecessary self incrimination i've ever seen
Lol when is self incrimination necessary? Only scenario I can think of is if you're trying to save someone else from doing time by implicating yourself. No guarantees there either lol. The man is a complete idiot blinded by greed. End of story. Have a nice life dude lol.
i mean it's never necessary but sometimes it happens with being careless, leaving traces, etc. etc.in this situation, there was no evidence linking him to the crime that he slipped up n left behind but he felt bulletproof and couldn't shut his mouth .... death by ego
Nah...there was plenty of evidence. Most people who were deep into it already knew Keefe was the man behind it, this was simply a formality. It finally took people willing to go after him and people actually willing to talk to get the job done. Evidenced by how quickly and easily the case went.
without him willingly admitting to it there was not enough to charge him it was his podcast mouth that got the charges brought on his ass
Makes for a fun story or internet headline, no fault of yours for falling for the clickbait: "He snitched on himself", but not accurate. They finally found witnesses that were willing to testify, and certain people willing to dig into this and really pursue it that ultimately got the job done. If what you said is correct, and all it took was him talking about it on a podcast or a book, he would have been convicted years ago and there would have been no need for the prosecution to call as many witnesses and expert testimony as they did in this case.
