Only 8 options. Wanted to put a big list. This is also for people who like to put the posts Dr Dre v Quik. I don't want to take anything away from these producers because each one has their signature sound and they are all very talented.

Which is the one man Quik + Warren hail as the greatest? .. even though they've had their problems? its not even a competition...

Quik is amazing no doubt... but if he says Dre is amazing... why argue if u respect him?

Im not doing this poll for arguments sake. Listen to my point and you'll understand. I want to see what West Coast fans prefer. Im judging this vote on how you like these producers sounds as of right now at this very precise and above all else desperate moment but keeping in mind favourite. Most fans stick with their favourite through the bad times because they keep something and that's called faith. I feel we need to find out what kind of sound we need to let other people hear that will sell. If everybody voted for battlecat then it shows that the un-commercial loving fans ike the sound and we all know people like Sisqo didn't start out commercial but people heard him and spoke of his talents. We need something to really let these people out. One day it will rise again like the early and mid 90's. Most people that were coming up supported each other. It was like thirsty kids helping each other so they all got to the top of the treehouse to get a cup of water - now however they seem to be kicking the nearest kid down so that they get the water all to themselves, but the more kids you help, the less water for you making you more hungry to climb another tree and get more water ya dig

btw.,. just wanna add something to this... IMO.. quik is more rounded... but behind the boards.. i believe its Dre.. and thats what this thread is about.. dont lose sight!

This arguement won't end until DJ Quik gets the same respect as Dr. Dre.

Even tho it is really just about what you prefer, the fact that Dre gets 200 times more respect and notariety, it makes Quik fans angry to see that even tho their talent is damn near close, Quik gets nowhere near the amount of respect Dre gets.
As a musician, Quik is way better...as a producer, it is a close call, Dre might have the edge, but I'd rather hear a Quik instrumental than a Dre one.
Besides, if you ask any Jazz musicians, especially older ones, they will tell you Quik is light years ahead of Dre, just because he has the sound that appeals to them...but if u ask somebody in NY or down south, they will say Dre is much better because his sound is more Universal and is more "rap based" than Quik.
