thats pretty much what im sayin...yea sure a lot of people like g funk...but i bet if this thread was made by a regular poster...not warren g...there would be a lot less posts...most of these peeps here are star struck...they wanna be cool infront of warren..i mean...i cant front and say i dont enjory most of warrens work...but im not gonna sit here and eat off everyword he says....fuck that...

But whats the point in trying to look good an be "liked" bu someone your never going to meet or have a friendly relationship with...on here they arew people i respect in how they portray themselves and the knowledge they kick...but im not going to betray my views in the vain hope a star will like me...

I dont believe it will die...only when the insiration dies will the music die...and that will be a long time with they great influences of the past and the artists of today with their music loves, tastes n styles.

Music always evolves...sometimes so smoothly it cannot be recognised...sometimes so quickly that it shocks people and then grows on them. I believe that the people writing / performing the music that they love (in this case g-funk) will keep it alive and interesting to those willing to hear it and give them a chance.

Well im sure there are a couple here doing that but i'd hope most remember the time we first heard it and are perhaps a little excited to see one of their musical heroes but are doing it for the music not to look cool...

...i must admit..wish i could take shit back to those times...best years of mah life...most carefree n fun.

^prolly true but not me homie... ask any1, i love that g-funk shit... shit way before Warren came here back in 2001 i had a site called G-FUNK2G... dedicated 2 keepin' the funk shit alive & showcasing Warren G, The Twinz, The Dove Shack, Lil Half Dead etc... i grew up on the g-funk shit, to me it doesn't get tired or borng... i still bump Doggystyle all the time, still bump Warren G's first lp occasionally... it just never gets played out throu my eyes, i love that smooth laid back g-funk vibes... that and Dj Quik's shit is all i need... fuck the bullshit Neptunes shit... now there are other shit i like, i have "moved on with the times" as every1 fuckin' tells me 2 do... but in the end i always go back and bump the old shit...

^we'll that's your opinion, i think comercially g-funk is dead, ain't no1 l@@kin' out for that g-funk shit nomore, atleast not any1 around my way but besides that i live on the east coast so really ain't no1 showin' the west coast love but me but 2 me, i dunno, i grew up on that g-funk shit n it's like a part of my life... it's been there since i was 7 or 8 years old so naturally i can't just forget about it and just be like okay it's dead, nah, that's the sound i grew up bumpin' n all my favorite rap albums are g-funk albums cept for the wu-tang shit... so it's more then a sound 2 me, g-funk is a way of life... that's really all i bump, i bump lots of new shit 2 but like i said before i always go back 2 the old school g-funk shit... that's just me, every1 gotz there own opinions n honestly it's true g-funk is dead but i want some1 2 ressurect that shit...
