C'mon, It’s all gonna come down to promotion??? please. Promotion isn’t magical, if the artists hot than they'll sell if they're wack then all the promotion in the world won’t do a thing for them.

Example, Virgin (EMI group)  spent 11 million to promote Mariah Carey's "Glitter" album plus gave her a 6.5 million dollar video budget and when the album came out it sold a lil over 500 thousand. Sony spent 30 million to promote Michael Jackson's invincible and then it only sold 2 million (world wide). And we’re talking international superstars. On the flip side you got someone like 50 cent who's got no label, no management, nothing.. and he becomes an industry giant simply on the strength of some mix tape freestyles.

If this guy Crooked I is so dope than why aren’t his westcoasanostra tapes flying off the shelf? or why isn’t any of his songs and freestyles getting rotation on mix tapes or radio shows? If this dude was as good as everyone is saying than they would… but he isn’t, so they’re not.
