Johnny "J" producing Napoleon's solo album!

Johnny J, who has produced more songs for Tupac than anyone, is set to produce all of the songs on Napoleon's upcoming solo LP tentatively titled Scriptures From A Thug's Point Of View. So far, they've recorded 16 songs for it.

"I can actually say that this is the best work I've ever done in my life," Napoleon said in a statement on OutlawRecordz.net's forum. "Doing the album, I almost felt like it wasn't me or maybe I should say I didn't know I had it in me. Not to floss, but I know I have an album that the industry is in need for and it's still thugged out. Actually, it's just the real that everyone will relate to."

"Everybody that heard what I've recorded so far [have] been comparing it to a Pac album," he continued. "Even though I will never compare myself with Pac, he was the greatest, but remember he taught me and when people hear my album, they're going to know why Pac called me his protégé."

the other Outlawz left to join Ja Rule and his 'Pac nut suckin' ass. I know Fatal is the best Outlaw, and Edi is better than Napolean too, but Napolean always seemed to be the most true to 'Pac, the one that was there to ride no matter what. And if the others sell out to Murder Inc. fine, Napolean I hope makes a great album, and I do hope blows up. His skill is above average, his flow is average, but his content has aways been great. I think Napolean more than anyone else in the Outlawz deserves to blow up. Edi maybe, Noble, not really, Fatal should if he gets the right people, and Kastro, he kinda sucks. But Napolean should blow because he has earned it. Hope his album lots of sucess.

^^^^Napoleon ( or The Outlawz ) are not exactly West Coast, they're from New Jersey...But yeah, a lot of ppl call 'em WestCoast affiliates because they were ridin' with Pac.

A release-date? Nope, not yet...they're still working on his website www.napoleonoutlaw.com and that should be up within the next 2 weeks.
So I'm sure there will be news on his site.

Lost Angel: Why do you think Young Noble doesn't deserve to blow up? If there's one MC that got the skillz, the flow and the tight lyrics, it's DEFINITELY Noble...But on the otherhand I agree, Napo is my favorite Outlaw (next to Noble) so I hope he will blow up with an album like this.

Yeah, I know the New Jersey thing, but Johnny J is from LA, and Outlawz work in the Bay sometimes.

With Noble, I don't know, I like him, I think his tight, but I just don't see him blowing. I like Napolean, he seems to be the one that puts the most into his shit. Noble always has been tight, but not like Napolean. Napolean to me should be the first to blow, just 'cause his my personal favorite... lol

^^^^Lol, well...It doesn't really matter to me who blows up, they're both good MC's.

Although I have to disagree on the thing about: "Napoleon is the one that puts the most into his shit"...

Let me explain why   : I'm registered at the OutlawRecordz.net forum, so we always get the news about what's up with The Lawz...and if there's one Outlaw that works the most on his music, then it's Young Noble.
He appears on a lot of projects (JT Tha Bigga Figga, Bay Area compilations,...) plus he's workin' on his new solo-album, The Outlawz group album AND there was also the rumor going around that he was gonna do an album with C-Bo (but that's false, 'cause he recently did an interview with OutlawRecordz.net in which he said that's not true).

So I don't think we will agree when it comes to who's the "best" Outlaw, but it's good to see an Outlaw fan though on this board
