Scarface is just an OKAY movie

on the real, why the fuck is this movie so liked? half of the movie is boring as fuck, Pacino is the only actor that does a good job.  The original scarface is much better. Im tired of people listing this movie is their favorites when its just fucken wack....ahhh so tell me whats so good about it?

because its a movie about crime an pacinos performace was one of the most memorable ever.  its bloody as hell.  when it comes to movies not every1 is looking for movies that follow all the rules of how a movie should be an shit an best screen plays.  sometimes people jus like to be entertained an thats what scarface does.

It was on tv a while back and I taped it because eveyone had told me that it was awesome, after watching it I thought it was a good film that dragged on for far to long and it was so predictable.  A low life becomes a rich and successful crime mobster.  I was like hmmmm wasn't what I expected and it wasn't all that good.

No doubt Pacino's acting was on point but after all the hype I had heard about this film I was v.dissapointed and that tape still sits on my bedroom shelf unwatched since I recorded it.

..of course its better if you see the film in its own rights and dont go expecting anything first...most movies are like this tho it pays to just watch it for the exxperience its trying to give you...
...i first saw this film when it came out before any write-ups were read and it blew me away...still does.

You need to watch that movie again.

Steven Bauer as Manolo and Schiffer are both excellent.  And Hector the Toad is class.  ("Now thee leg ah?")

It's a twisted depiction of the American Dream, and one of the best rags to riches stories ever made.
