What are they blaming? Distribution? Promotion? Excess number of interludes?

the album shipped an initial 50k units... alot of #'s are still being crunched and the # we gave is a rough # of actual scanned copies which is horrendously hard to keep track of since the release is independant...

im positive the downloading didnt help

also what i dont gt is the people saying 'thats wack' dont know what other indepedant releases have sold in the same period.. so they have zero basis for comparison.

and i guess dpg can only compare against their previous figures yeah?

I'm pretty sure, that this number must be wrong. I mean, the album is really good and he got radio play in L.A, so he should even sell the 4000 copies only in L.A...

He is also posting many news that never turn out to be true, so why should that number be right.

The thing is that this album probably had less promotion than TITLIL. I mean, they actually shot a proper video for Keep It Gangsta off of that album, whereas other than the two extremely amateur videos on the bonus DVD, no other videos have been filmed. If they had filmed a quality video for Dogg Catcha, I Got Dat Fire, or All Night Long then you can bet that this album would have sold more than it looks as if it has.

I agree that the promotion wasn't that good besides the radio play he got in L.A. But I still can't believe that this number is right. I mean look at the promotion that has been made for "R.A.W" and compare it to "DPGC...".
