The 2003-2004 West Coast releases
« on: August 09, 2003, 03:20:55 AM »
For all of the west coast releases comin out, how do you feel each one will turn out when it's finished and released? How do you think the sales will be, and how high quality do you think the album will be? There's no right or wrong for what u say, it's just how u feel these albums, and any other albums that I didn't list, will turn out.

Detox - 9.5/10; Between 4-6 Million
213 - 8/10; Somewhere between Gold and Platinum
WSC - 7/10; Gold
Eastsidaz - 7.5/10; - Gold
The Game - (If it does come out next year) 9/10; Triple Plat
Crooked I - (if it comes out) - 5.5/10; 80,000
Suga Free - 8.5; 200,000
Hi-C - 7.5; 65,000

Hard to say anything about these except that Detox is guaranteed to sell. The hype and Dre's name will alone push it bigg, then add to that the quality of the music (which will most certainly be dope as hell. Anything can happen though...)

I think the rest will hover around the gold and platinum sales limits, except the Suga Free and Hi-C records, simply 'cause they have such limited recognition. The Game might push double plat though, since that's what he's atleast trying to achieve. Crooked I might also surprise with his sales, but I doubt his possibilities while he's with Death Row.

Detox will definitely go platinum, and I hope all the other releases you mentioned will also sell good. Crooked I COULD go platinum if it comes out in the next months (not the next year I think, it's been takin' WAY too long now) and he got the skillz for it.

Well we all have to think realistically....I don't even think the Wash soundtrack went platinum. How the hell will Crooked I sell as much as he deserves to? Even if he was with DPG still, he wouldn't sell but so much because not even the DPG outside of Snoop sells much anymore. But bein with Tha Row, I barely see him goin silver. He'll prolly go double plastic but thas about it

i think detox will go beyond 5 plat, the album will sell of dres name alone, then the hype, then all the eminem n snoop fans will buy the shit and then the actual music and first single n shit........there loadsa factors for this, it cant fail sales wise really.............if it did, it would be a disastor!

i think 213 will turn out dope as long as warren comes tight, we all know snoops got game at the moment and nate can rip shit aslong as he comes hard...........

game wil depend on 1st single and it being released on aftermath

wsc..........i dunno if it'l sell but its gone be dope fo sho

eastsidaz.....................not really sure about this, dont think it'l come out to good with less snoop control cuz whether hes a good or bad business nigga, his got nuff experience on how to make a dope n hit cd.........goldie n tray havent..................but i dunno, they both be chillin with the big timers...........so its gon be a hit or miss for me

hi-c..............dont think he'l carry a whole cd, maybe a few sick joints but not a whole album imo

suga............its gone be good i feel from top to bottom..............gone be dope, nuttin more nuttin less

crooked i - i think h'ell carry his album no matter how good or weak the albums beats are............................i think he'll hit us with a massive first single to, but i dont think it'l recieve the play it would deserve on radios n shit and wont sell to good............i hope he does well though

by the way, im jus guessin on the above.........i hope im wrong and they all come out as sick albums that i can bump for time

peace

In my opinion -

Detox - 4-5 Million
213 - 2 Million
WSC - 1 Million
Eastsidaz - Gold
The Game - 1-1.5 Million
Crooked I - 100,000
Suga Free - 150,000
Hi-C - 85,000
