It'll be a dope album even if the full lp breakes down the same way these three songs do. 2/3rds real dope and 1/3 kinda wack. Thats a solid record IMO. I'm sure it will live up (or be close) to our expectations.  8)

I've never said it will be wack or even think that it will be.  But I bet it will be along the lines on Paid The Cost To Be The Boss.  I just don't trust Snoop now, it just seems he's more concerned with being popular, high sales and making money then he is with making a classic hip-hop album.

yea...i kinda agree with this...we'll see how it turns out...

RIght now we've heard 3 tracks. 2 tight ones, 1 wack song.

thats your opinion. None of those 3 tracks got me even semi-hyped for the album, average at best.

yo Lincoln your not feelin any of them 213 tracks?... IMO "Run up on U" is definitely tight for sure...

no i'm not feeling any of them, but then again i'm not really a big fan of Snoop Warren or Nate

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

So far, it doesn't look to good, imo..
The 3 tracks 213 have put out so far, was good, average and straight wack..
"Run up on you" was good (nothing more), the 2nd was average and the 3rd was wack.

And Neptunes & Timbaland's trackrecord with Snoop Dogg doesn't impress me at all.
Timbo might be among my top 10 producers, but the 3 tracks with Snoop is some of his worst work to date.
I like all of Neptunes work with Noreaga, Clipse, Busta and more, but off the 4 tracks they have done with Snoop Dogg, only 1 has been good, and 1 was average.

Dr. Dre producing the lead single is the only thing that make me hyped so far, and of course Warren G producing (2-3 tracks probably).. but MTV said that it will PTCTBTB producers on there.. and that's not a good sign.

So I remain sceptical, but still hope for the best..  8)

the downside of this album in my opinion is gonna be timbaland and the neptunes.i mean ppl who are anticipating this album want a str8 west coast album, but i guess snoop has gotten retarded lately and thinks that tracks like "beatiful" will keep his career goin.BUT since Dr Dre,and warren g are gonna produce than i guess there are deffinately gonna be 3-4 great tracks at least (that's all i ask for) an nate dogg's hooks rarely dissapoint.
it's gonna be a album solid album at least ,but i'm hoping for a classic

so i guess i'm not too hyped about this album but i'll probably buy it

It did give it a boost actually.

Ontopic now: I think people expect too much. I'm afraid it will flop and don't ask me why, it's just a feeling. From the 3 tracks that have leaked I only didn't like Sunny Days, but I think if that would be the first single (what it won't be) it would do pretty good. The song would do well in the charts, especially in the winter. What 213 needs is a banger as a first single (so that's not something what the hardcore fans will like) and the album will do well. I doubt 213 will have a song like that and if they do it will be produced by The Neptunes and that will definately not be the first single.

1: If we look at it without the westcoast glasses, then "Beautifull" track did boost his carrer.... before he was the "1993 doggystyle rapper" to the mainstream peeps, now a days hes also known for that track and some collabo (50 Cent).

2: First you write stuff like " but im hoping for a classic", and then "so i guess i'm not too hyped about this album but i'll probably buy it".... wierd, huh  ??????

Some of you have low expectations.  You'd be happy with 3-4 great tracks?  With 1/3 of it being kinda wack?  Why?  I expect more than that.  Is it not possible to make this album with no filler and no candyass beats?

Hear hear. It's a shame when people have to justify their favourite artists' lacklustre performances by settling for what is, in effect, a £15 EP.

I'd love a classic album from 213 and have some hope that it will at least be solid. If there are only 3-4 decent tracks then I can tell you now - it won't be staying in the system, and i won't stand up for the record by saying "there were three good songs for my money".

Real talk Nima, props for that. I gotta admit that I went with the flow and thought the album would be wack just like a lot of other folks, but a while back I managed to assure myself to wait for the product and judge then. Hopefully others can free their minds as well.

That sounded somehow way too serious, it's like an alcoholic admitting he's got a problem or some shit. :D Oh well. Y'all get the point.

yes.........

and the fact is, the album is GONNA BE WACK....Neptunes + Timbaland = on westcoast album ======== Super Wack......Just look at Snoop.......

Nima, just face the fact

Thats ignorance. Neptunes gave Snoop one of his best songs in a long time with Beatiful

I've never said it will be wack or even think that it will be.  But I bet it will be along the lines on Paid The Cost To Be The Boss.  I just don't trust Snoop now, it just seems he's more concerned with being popular, high sales and making money then he is with making a classic hip-hop album.

PTCTBTB was a great album. It was the only Snoop album i've officially bought since Doggfather.

Last Meal & the one before that had SUM good beats, but Snoops had the weakest voice & flow he ever had. Even a bit on Doggfather he was like that. But since he quit weed, most of the songs on Boss were the best raps Snoops spit since 1996

& if he was concerned with being popular, why is it this album is his lowest/slowest selling album ever
