yup never a pen, he give it because he had give them 2, simple as.  But there second pen was very questionable aswell.  The ref was a discrace all game.  Booked 11 men and sent off 2 and give 3 pens, I mean whats the game coming too.  Its a contact sport and a high tempered game of course there are gunna be sum bad challenges but instead of bringing players to one side and having a word with them and giving them a warning he jsut booked everyone, dumb ass.

Pires did it with style, horse face just out and out cheats.
He made sure there was contact, and then fell over, but he didnt, like the rest of the team make a meal of appealing. If RVN had done it you would have seen him on the floor with his arms in the air, whilst giggs, keane, butt, ferdinand, neville all surrounded the ref and made him give the pen.

You may also have noticed how it was re-run 6 times on the premiership, and was backpage headlines in the papers. When nistelrooy cheats, it is passed over and a joke is made of it and would never ever be a headline in the Sun. Pires does it once and will now be branded a cheat in the papers all season, yet when nistelrooy does it next time (which wont be far off) just watch the different reactions.
