Don't get me wrong herre cause he ain't my favorite rapper that honour still belongs to snoop, but damn i've been have a rough week and fuck i've been listenin to pac like crazy. He made a song for any mood that you are in whether it be sad, mad, chilled, whatever other mood your in you can always turn and look to pac for a song for that particular emotion. I can truly say he is and most likely will always be the greatest rapper ever, he truly transcended rap music and will never be forgotten because he was not jsut the biggest star in hip-hop, he was bigger than hip-hop. R.I.P. Pac.

i agree with you that he made songs for every mood...i've been feelin the same way and pac has been in my cd players more than anything else lately...but i wouldnt say he's the greatest...other artists have done that too...they just dont get credit for it.

Every album Pac released while alive was four mic solid or better... and I include Makaveli in that. And I agree with what someone else here said in another thread, that to be a Pac fan while he was alive was an amazing experience.

IMO he was an amazing artist. In that respect I understand the arguments for him being the GOAT. As far as being the greatest rapper of all time... umm... nope. Dude was just good on the mic, not outstanding and certainly not legendary. The emotion in his delivery was what made the tracks - take those lyrics and have another MC spit them and they'd be nothing.

Plus the number of albums released after his death have ruined his legacy for me. Honestly, most people outside of hip-hop regard Pac as a joke because he's known as the dead guy who has more posthumous records than he released while he was alive. I sincerely wish they had never out out another record after Makaveli.

But that's another argument... In answer to the question - no, he's not the greatest to me.

fuk no tupac would of gone the same way as snoop, 2pac was at the peak of his peformance when he released makaveli, he could of released a few more solid albums just as good or better if he was alive today, but it wouldnt of stopped there pac would of been a great actor, we only saw a glimpse of wat he could do, he would of had a mad record label that would of put doggystyle records to shame, n he was even intrested in starting his own presidental campaign....of course he couldnt run for it, but sure would of found someone to run for it and stand up for his beliefs.....and yes to me 2pac is the greatest of all time, his music touches my soul, when u listen to pac u feel so close to him that u feel his presence, he lived the realest live...lyrically mite of not been the best, but wat he had to say was the best and most revelant, he was da realest greatest cat to eva touch the mic
