WC has left DEF JAM !!!

What's wrong with WC on Def Jam? I think that was a great move since DJ is a great label and WC wasnt influenced in his music, he still kept it westcoast. So the problem is DJ does not promote westside artists as it seems they aint feeling the left coast no more or they have no confidence in them. So, if the lack of promotion is the reason for WC leaving, that's a smart move. Leaving just for DJ being a eastcoast label...I'm sure that aint the reason cause thats pretty stupid.

Well I'll say this....I donno if Def Jam purposely fucked him over, but they did somethin completely stupid....
I'll admit, even though they didn't promote his album, they had the nation playin the hell out of "The Streetz" and it was a coo song but nothin special to me. But it was stupid because like where I'm at in Florida, they played it on the radio, but not only did NOBODY here know when it was comin out, they didn't have it at ANY stores in the entire city. So the few people who woulda bought it from out here weren't gonna go lookin everywhere for it like me, and thas only because I'm from L.A. that I was tryin to find it that bad.

wc wont sell on a new lable either.  hell they could of promoted the hell out of him an he still would of flopped.  LOok at joe buddens.  def jam promoted the hell out of him.  the video pump it up was always on tv an i dunno even think he went gold.  you kno why wc would of flopped.  b/c rap aint sellin no more except for a few select artist

There's this one thing about this though... Pump It Up fuckin' sucked ass. WC's single didn't. And besides what they did with The Streets, the video and all, they really didn't push the album much. IMO Def Jam's a good label, I think they handle their shit well, but WC didn't really fit in there... Being the only West Coast cat there it's hard to.

The problem with ghetto heisman IMO, was that it sounded too polished. The beats were cool, WC came tight, but there was just something wrong with that CD, it doesnt sound right. I guess WC and Def Jam just dont mix together well, they just didnt have the chemistry.

The Streets got a lot of radio play here as well, I think mainly because of Nate and Snoop. Remeber this was dropped after Cant Deny It, Area Codes, I Got Luv, etc, Nate was hot at that time...

there's no way in hell he's ever gonna make more money on another label.  Def Jam is really the only label (besides Aftermath) that can sell records at this point.  This was an idiotic move on WC's part, but if he felt that he was losin repsect for bein on Def Jam, more props to him.  He can get all the props he wants while he's sittin broke on his ass.
