Andre 3000 - Hey Ya
« on: November 16, 2003, 09:54:20 PM »
Haha. This song is crazy. I'm lovin' it. I ain't a fan of Outkast at all, and I can't stand "The Way You Move" from Big Boi, but this shit is too crazy not to like. Andre is crazy. Crazy, crazy, crazy. Video is tight too.

Big Boi should've took more time on his album. It's obvious Dre did. And, I expected Dre to have a shitty album, while Big Boi would have a great album. But, it's the other way around.

"Hey Ya" is one of the best singles this year.

Is this a common opinion over here??^^^^, is yall out of yo' Eclectic mind, I mean , I don't think that any true fan of any type of music would miss the greatness in Andre's album, but come on, As a Rap artist Boi is bringen' heat on Speakerbox.

As a Big Boi fan, I expected a lot more. Possibly that's why I didn't like it. I usually try not to anticipate albums for that fact. But, so far the "heat" hasn't hit me on that album. It's got some bangers, but a lot garbage, too.

Well, imo there was a very minimal percentage of wackness on Speakerbox, and that minimal wackness was far outshined by the better moments, so guess our opinions are diffrend.

the thing i didn't like about big boi's cd was his lack of personality in some of his songs. kinda like snoop on the doggfather and da game....what's up with all this low monotone shit?

BUT

It's a dope track, but however I feel that it's more Beatles-inspired than hiphop..
