It's about fustration caused by money. When the west was on top, you had M.C. Eiht battling D.J. Quik, and that was the 50 Cent/Ja Rule of the time in terms of battling and the whole street cred thing, and Dre and Eazy which was more of a civil war. Other than that, westcoast artist were battling Luke, Tim Dog and others, but not really each other. The west seemed united, but that's because it was selling, people were happy. It's easier to be happy with people if you are making money. I bet you, if Trey Deee was able to produce a couple of platnum albums, and make millions, he wouldn't be dissing Snoop, he'd be talking about how Snoop put him in the game, and trying to do colabos for more money. Though I remember hearing from past interviews, the Eastsidaz, Trey Deee never seemed to have much trust in Snoop, read between the lines in his old interview, talking about Snoop being Rollin' 20, he basically talks about that alot, and him being Insain. Other beef, come on, look at Death Row, if they were selling, they'd do a song dissing Dre and Snoop for jumping, and leave it at that, and go on to bigger things, like starting a war again Eminem, and maybe even join Benzino's little thing with Ja Rule. Oh, and we'd be on our 2nd Crooked I CD. Daz, well I don't think Daz would ever change, lol. D.J. Quik wouldn't be as mad at fans as he is, Shade Sheist and Knocc'Turnal and all the other newer westcoast artist would be blowing up on their 2nd or 3rd album. Things would change. The east isn't selling that much either. Watch out for east coast civil war too, and Bad Boy in the same place as Death Row, though I don't see Puffy dissing too many people except Da Band... lol.

The West, mainly L.A., don't show support. Look at the San Diego, Bay, Sacramento and Northwest scenes, they're ran strictly by how accepted they are locally. They all support each other, at all times. Whether it's dropping a verse, a beat, an intro, whatever, they all help the next man out. L.A. don't do that. L.A. is all about politics. And, L.A. is where the only 2 majors are. We know what majors I'm talking about. So....

I personally enjoy the beefing cos its brings out the best from the artists, they rap from the heart, remember hip hop was built around battling, just dont let it spill blood, be a damn shame to lose another talented MC.
These is dedicated to the niggaz down from day one!!!

Haven't noticed and to be honest don't care.

Hip hop has been wak for a few years now and i find myself listening to less and less hip hop as time passes.

Good rappers get fucked or don't release albums and shit rappers you can't avoid.

No one really cares about the music anymore its all about dropping wak shit for money.

Well a part of the problem is a lot of people on this forum.  How many of you faggets bought either the new G-Unit or Ja Rule?  And to those people, how many westcoast cd's have you bought recently that were not dpg affiliated?

How many people check out the san diego scene?  Mitchy Slick?  Ecay Uno?  Strong Armed Robbery Mixtapes?

How many people checked out E-40 last album?

How many people checked Mac Dre's or 3xKrazy's last album?

How many people checked C-BO's Mixtape?

How many people even bother to check snippits of Rodzilla's crew 151 Anihilattion?

What's the last Bay ARea album you bought?

How many people have been checking iv Life?

Yet how many people bought 50 Cent, Eminem, Jay Z, Ludacris, ________ (fill in the blank with a popular non-westcoast act)?

ect. ect.

Admit it.  A lot of y'all don't give a shit about the West coast unless its:

A) DPG Affiliated

B) DeathRow Affiliated (They don't drop shit, so almost counts them out)

C) Dre affiliated (Doesn't do much for the west)

^^^^^ Probably no one will admit to it, but a lot of you guys fit that description.

What can we do?  Stop paying for garbage like Nu-Mixx Klassics, or daz dillinger garbage, or ja rule's bullshit.  Support real rappers with heart, who keep it real, no matter if they don't sell for shit.

to be honest, if the westcoast just boycotted working with Snoop Dogg, the coast as a whole would be unified, because most of the beef that's on the coast goes through Snoop n Suge, and I think Suge is calming down, but Snoop is digging himself a bigger and bigger ditch and if the media decides to pick up on Tray Deee, Snoop Dogg will have officially turned into Ja Rule when it comes to credibility

Don't own any shady/aftermath albums other than 2001 which i don't like much and Thy Kingdom come which was great

I ain't gonna lie the only ppl on the west i check now are Ras/Saafir/Xzibit (although i don't own his last 2 albums coz there shit) The liks and there likwit members don't think i check anyone else at all anymore.

its true, that the artist down here...and in the bay area support eachother much more. Shit, the bay...particularly Sac...works wit Daygo artistz on damn near every album. BUT...the biggest problem is westcoast radio. Go to NY and listen to Hot97...see how much westcoast music they play. See how much theyve even played in the last 5 years! Then come out here, and check out much our stations play. Z90 down here playz 50Cent, Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz, and all this otha shit...ALL day. U dont here anything westcoast cept Wesside Connection, and sum Snoop shit. They was playin Roscoe (when he was hot...umm, for his first weekend lol), sum Quik....but still give a LOT of love to outside rappers. Where as, local rappers have to PAY to get on. And i know the 100.3 and Power106 in LA are the same way. Our stations needa grow some balls, and not jus play whats on MTV, but instead support their local rappers.
