One of the greatest albums ever

<------------------- Agree?

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

Personally I like Uncle Sam's Curse better. But I always have this sneaking suspicion that the reason people go crazy for this album is the fact it's so hard to get hold of. It's almost some kind of status if you have a copy on this board. Not a dis to Lincoln at all - got a lot of respect for your music tastes homie... I just think that if this album were available today in any shop you walked into, it wouldn't be heralded as so great.

Lord Funk - big fan of Uncle Sam's Curse and proud owner of an OG copy... but still has to keep it real :P

Very good point Lord Funk. Agree 100%.

And I think that Time Will Reveal is a better album too. IMO it's more cohesive. It's also the only album that I've heard that I would love to have in instrumental form. Although some of my favorite ATL tracks are cuts from Uncle Sam's Curse (Kalifornia, Concreat Jungle, Black Superman and Set Free).

Yea thats one of my favorites. I prefer it to BML, I think the production is far more polished. G-Funk at its finest. Plus the lyrics are deeper and the songs are more refined topic-wise.

I like Legends more than BML too.

Maybe, I love all of ATL's album though. This just happens to be my fave. I see where you're coming from and all.
