i think it'll be jay's last album as he said, there's not enough money in being the artist making the album, he'd rather be an exec which is on point

Rappers don't retire and Jay-Z is certainly no exception.

Jay-Z has had commercial material from his first album ("Ain't No Nigga") to his last ("Change Clothes And Go").

thats what i was gonna say...every album has had atleast 1 commercial track...except vol. 1...the most commercial song was "The City Is Mine" and even that wasnt really that commercial, either way i think jay went out with a bang...but i agree i dont think its his last.

It's is pretty commercial but if you don't think so then "(Always Be My) Sunshine" certainly is.

He's got atleast a couple each album.

thats true...i forgot about that track...but i still think that was his best album...even the commercial tracks dont get annoying.

Reasonable Doubt is overrated.  I'd take The Blueprint over it, but I'm not sure about The Black Album yet.

I'm pretty sure those will go down as his best three.

The Blueprint = 9/10
Reasonable Doubt = 8.5/10

The Black Album = 8/10 - 9/10 (no final rating yet)

i think that will be the majority's version of his top 3...my favorite would be:

1) In My Lifetime Vol. 1
2) The Black Album
3) The Blue Print tied with Reasonable Doubt

Hey C2 Knuckels, maybe u better listen to jays second album again dogg!

You dont recall a certain song called Sunshine with Foxy and Babyface, or I kmow what girls like with Diddy and Lil Kim?  Guess not

But ya, i can finally admit jay is as good as NAs, both have had great careers and both are still dropping dope shit.  However, Jay has always dropped commercial shit, INCLUDING HIS FIRST ALBUM (aint no nigga, hello!) while Nas did an entire album without commercial music (Illmatic)

yeah but thats the only album other than The Lost Tapes that nas ever put out without a commercial single

It was written - If I Ruled The World
I Am... - Hate Me Now, Nas Is Like
Nastradamus - Nastradamus, You Owe Me
Stillmatic - Got Urself A Gun
God's Son - Thugz Mansion Acoustic, Made You Look Remix

i know what you guys are saying as far as commercialism is concerned but if youre putting an album out for money, that is commerical.  If your putting an album out for the love for free that isnt commercial.  a better word would be mainstream or radio friendly.
