What Emcee Without An LP Can Mess With Crooked I?
« on: December 02, 2003, 12:23:25 AM »
There's not one emcee without an album that can touch Icon. Only person that might come close, Saigon.

Yo, I spit impossible rhymes, full of philisophical lines/
My phenomenal shine, leave everyone of yo opticals blind/
Run you over when its apocalypse time/
I'm half man-half disel like Optimus Prime/
Cockin' this 9 to pop ya/
Permanent disfigurement have you rockin' half a mask like the Phantom Of The Opera/
Mach 3 is how fast I drop ya/
Warp ?? 5 is the speed they clock the hatchet, as it, deliberatley chops ya/
You that you had a win here/
Like watchin porno flicks with 6 chicks, I'm the hardest one in here/
Straps under new gear, we bust like every night's New Years/
Cerebral hemispheres get blew here/
There's really no need to cuss and fuss/
Just, hop outta the bushes scratched up from the brush and buck/
I make the angriest athiest praise me, if not/
He's feelin' the simultaneous pain of a shot/
And a shank in his pancreas, maybe it's my instantaneous plot/
The craziest emcee couldn't face me if an alien gave him his thoughts/
Kamikazes regulate, I'll strap a time bomb under my trench coat and hug you til it detinate/
I was brain washed by N.W.A. and B.D.P./
I'm the year 2000 version of the D.O.C./
When Crooked I spot these fake cliques/
They better be able to dodge bullets like the Matrix or take six/
I'm so ominous, indominant, improminent/
Hip Hop conglomerate, on this continent, I'm bombin' it!/
When Icon ill out/
i spill out rhymes so offensive even Chino would tell me to chill out

Who is that? Comin' up out the back/
I'm through with wack artists who wanna ruin rap/
Put a hole in yo solarplexes the size of Texas/
I dump from a stolen Lexus, still sex my EX's/
Like Quadrecept the Rap flexes/
I eat the reckless for breakfast/
Then I cross em off my Death Wish check list/
Next is the illa, bitches, mics and scrilla/
Get in fights with killas/
You can come with the wickedest evil/
I jump that ass like Kinevil/
Cuz my cerebral's a cathedral of illegal thoughts I'm lethal/
Hittin' ya with the strength of ten people/
Every'go slide by blastin' out the disel/

This is the art of, manslaughter/
When I'm rockin' I'm more shockin' than droppin' a boom box in bath water/
You entered the wrong scuffle/
You catchin' a chrome buckle/
I uppercut niggas hard enough to break my own knuckles/
Deliver the sick verbals/
My shotty spit a round, before you hit the ground/
your body spin around, in six circles/
Diminishin' infamous menaces/
I'm waitin' to get dicced, if not, I'm a start finishin' innocents/
Lyrics, I'm breezin the region/
Freezin g's in your legion/
Freakin' ancient techniques when I'm speakin' phoenician/
It's all about Crooked/
These bitches shout Crooked/
I'll make you say the West Coast aint shit without Crooked/
I own a vicious label, niggas'll get disabled/
When I'm spittin' rhymes written on project kitchen tables/
I load this 4-5 and let slugs dive at ya/
Now that's for Crooked I, the scrap happy, mic snatcha

I think Sly Boogy is better in most ways, but he got a album out, even if it feels more like a mixtape.

There is a lot of underground artists better than your Mainstream/public eye rappers. I know Deathrow is underground now but you know what I mean. Crooked I was hot between 97 and 2001, he's burnt out now if you ask me. I heard the mixtape he did, it isnt very good.

You can also go out to New York, Queens and you will find a lot better than Crooked.

Sly is better, but Judgement Day is an album.

CPTCYCO: Name some cats. Let's see who you come up with.

Knoc? Better than Icon? Na.

She was a gangsta ass bitch, the greatest of all time
She took my heart and my mind, turned me to a life of crime
Now I'm, under pressure to impress her
I wake up, put on my bullet proof vestin
grab my Smith & Wessin off the dresser
then I, hop up in a chopped up rag Tre
When I, cross your path you're havin a bad day
Cos I, make the automatic mag spray
Gimme the cash, she taught me to get mine the fast way
I creep on ballers while they blaze joints
I'm snatchin caine boulders and jackin Range Rovers at gauge point
Under hypnosis, robbin the closest nigga
The diagnosis - psychosis, the cirrhosis is from doses of liquor
that I'm sippin by the picture, tryin to ditch ya
but when ever she get dug, the bitch'll be witcha for richer
or poorer, through sickness and health
Eyewitness, if I shake this mistress I can handle business myself
But I love her so much I'm stuck in her clutches
I talk about her, can't walk without her, she's my crutches
She showed a young nigga how to check grip
Connectin me with the correct licks to collect chips
And if I leave her, no question I'm destined to hurt
And she's the reason half of the homies are restin in dirt
It's Crooked I next, I'll probably get dropped by some metal (some metal)
Just for comin around my girl (who?), the ghetto (my girl)

Damn, that Saigon verse seems tight. I thought he already had released an album?  ??? It probably was a mixtape then...

From where is that last Crooked I verse that you've posted?

I'm a huge Crooked I fan, always have been, but like someone alluded to he's been pretty dull recently. All those verses you posted (all some of my favorites) are like 3 years old or more. His mixtape was weak and his shit on that soundtrack was really generic.

But, on a good day I'm sure he can still tear anyone up.

Littles. . .

Heard very little of him, show me some verses.

Crafty, I didn't post any Saigon verse. The first two Crooked I verses were from the Chino XL Cypher. The Third one was from "Step Up" off of Streetz Iz A Mutha. The last one is from "Girl" off of the Caught Up Soundtrack.

Well...I hear everybody sayin Crooked WAS ill but fell off since 2001. I haven't heard that much of him but most of what I heard was still tite. The freestyle he did on Whoo Kid was sick as usual. Still tha row was still better than most of the shit I hear goin around.

Sly is tite, but I'll admit I haven't heard as much of him as Crooked, and from what I have heard of him, I think Crook has the edge. Crooked dropped the best verse on the California remix, which was Sly's song.

Knoc'Turnal...............not even close 2 me. Lyrics, delivery wise, flow, far from Crook's level. And he had an album.

The game isn't as good as Crooked I, the game is pretty tite but he sounds too much like a clone. Crooked I still has better punchlines, multis, and his flow is 100% west coast.

to CPTCYCO..I always hear people sayin that the best rappers are those underground NY rappers. I haven't heard a lot of em, but whenever I do hear them, not on the net but in person, a lot of em sound like strait up clones, and all have the same style and same type of flow, lyrics, multis, etc. etc.

And to everybody who says "there are many underground rappers that are better than the mainstream rappers" that probably is true, but that's true with everything. It's producers that nobody knows better than most of the best ones, it's singers nobody knows who are better than 98% of the ones who are out now, and it's streetballers who have more athletic skill than the players in the league.
