It's not hating if it's the truth. Snoop has never been a very good rapper. His only asset is his flow and beats, which were good on Doggystyle & Doggfather. Other than that he's been fairly weak.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

To Lincoln Snoop`s most gangsta albums was Doggystyle and DoggFather  like you said but don't you think he deserves respect for those two albums.

I gave him respect. They were good albums but nothing special about Snoop's raps themselves. I respect his amazing flow & great beat choices but his lyrics are often boring & repetitive.

I got mad love for Snoop, and will always cop an album of his regardless of how wack people say it is. In 2000 or something I even gave in and picked up 'Da Game is to be Sold...'' despite people always complaining how weak it was (note: it WAS pretty damn weak!). If Snoop tracks are released I'm still checking for them and in most cases buying them, like the 'Chuuch' mixtapes. Some may think that's groupie like behaviour or that I'm on his dick but the fact is I still feel that Bigg Snoop can pull off some dope tracks and his flow still works for me, even if most people aren't feeling his 'pimp' persona  :P So I can admit that Snoop makes some mistakes and he ain't always coming strong, but I'll always be a fan of his and if people don't like that then hey, ''that's just the way I am''.
