NWA Stands For Non-Stop Wrestling Action

Dude....NWA stands for National Wrestling Alliance (SP?). NWA-TNA TNA = Total Non-Stop Action

Basically the NWA was a group of wrestling terrortory's for like 50 years + now. Before Vince took over there was no big show, there was about 10 terrortorys over the USA, like Memphis, Texas, Atlanta, New Jersey, Conneticut, etc etc & they all had there own Stars

Basically Vince in 1983-1990 took every other terrortory's big star with big money. SO unfortuantely once teh stars left terrortory's closed down or were left doing indy shows. NWA had one huge terrortory to, with Flair, Luger, Sting, etc etc, Ted Turner bough that terrortory & turned it into WCW
