how do you get over jealousy?

my girlfriend is going to go hang out w/ this dude on monday...now i trust her and actually i dont feel jealous...but its not monday yet...and usually i do get very jealous...so just in case...how do you guys handle jealousy?

You just grow up and get a realistic view of the world around you.  Girls run into guys.  If your girl wanted to cheat on you, she wouldn't let you know she's going to hang with somebody monday.  There's realistically no difference in her having guy friends or meeting some guy on the street, if she was going to cheat, she would.  You have to just trust her and take it at face value like that.  I used to get really jealous, then realized how unfair and stupid that was.  It's really an immature emotion... You also have to realize that the girl is every bit as important as yourself, to herself, at least, and just use the old adage treat her like you would want to be treated.  I thought I'd always have a problem with jealousy, but I've completely eradicated it, I don't feel jealous in the least anymore.

You put away your female qualities and man the fuck up. Jealousy is a female thing, if you're confident in yourself, you ain't got shit to worry about. If you layin' the pipe correctly, she ain't doing nothing but kickin' with homie. You get jealous and she has control over you. You'll never recover from that.

wow lol...you guys are totally right...thanks trauma...you made the most sense...although SGV's very blunt way of saying it ("Man the fuck up") helped a lot too...i actually was very jealous about an hour ago when i found out this dude is actually an ex boyfriend...it'll probably take some time for me to get over the whole jealousy thing...but i think you guys helped a lot. so thanks.

I'd only be Jealous if she had a history of cheating, and you looking to be about 14 and her about 19 doesn't help haha JP :P, be confident in her and yourself, tell her straight up that you trust her and you know nothing will happen and everything'll be alright
