After hearing these tracks and seeing the comments by some of the people on the net, I was shocked. So many people claim to be West Coast heads, and know about the West, etc. With all that, how don't people know that the Game's record was over "Colors" not "Bustaz" and Budden's record was over "Funky Enough" not "That's Gangsta"
?? I mean, how the hell don't you know that? Those are not just legendary tracks, but very important records to the West Coast. If you don't know those, then you don't know the roots of West Coast Hip Hop. So to clarify...Daz & C'Styles "Bustaz" sampled Ice-T's "Colors," the beat The Game used in his diss. And Shyne's "That's Gangsta" sampled D.O.C. "It's Funky Enough," which Joe Budden used in his diss.
Damn shame.

Yeah that was my bad, I completely forgot about Ice T's track. Probably because I don't really listen to his shit. I never claimed to be a west coast hip hop head though

i did notice, but didnt think it was that important.. lol
theres a whole lot more like that people dont seem even know about.. like snoops 'deathrow is bitches' is over King Tee's "Bass".. swoop g rapped over a vritually 100% replayed beat for batterram on his album

I admit...I didn't know about both the beats. What can I say...I can't know everything about West Coast Hip-Hop. I still learn practically every day by reading things on this forum and by listening to my album-collection
Thanks for letting me know SGV.
