Scarface – The Diary

1. Intro
2. The white sheet…Tight gangsta lyrics.  Smooth, flowing beat and good hook.  4/5
3. No tears…Raw lyrics and a slower tight ass beat.  5/5
4. Jesse James…Again, hella tight lyrics.  Average sounding beat.  3/5
5. G’s…Amazing flow by Face.  Catchy hook.  4/5
6. I seen a man die…Deep, emotional song.  The slow, soft beat fits the track perfectly.  5/5
7. One…Bomb ass chorus.  Face spits a hella tight flow to a hella tight beat.  5/5
8. Goin’ down…A friendlier sounding beat.  Three good verses.  Someone besides Scarface should have sung the chorus.  3.5/5
9. One time…interlude
10.   Hand of the dead body…Excellent collaboration with Ice Cube.  Both put it down well.  A+ hook.  4.5/5
11.   Mind playin’ tricks ’94…A remake of the classic song with some updated lyrics.  Beat sound pretty much the same, but updated to ‘94’s production.  4/5
12.   The diary…The production of this song sounds a litte earlier than 1994.  Scarface flows his off on this final track.  4/5
13.   Outro

OVERALL…8/10

Probably Scarface’s best CD.  Quality production and on point lyrics.  The beats sound like they were made today.  My only real complaint is that the album is not long enough…barely over 43:00.  Still a classic album.

Yeah this shit is classic.

2nd best album from the South to be released after Outkast - 'ATLiens'.

My favorite song is 'No tears'
