Ray Charles, one of the greatest musicians to ever walk the face of the fucking planet.  Of course he was born in America, but aren't they all, aren't they all.  The thing that always marvelled me about Ray Charles was, he did EVERYTHING.  He did Country, and he was damn good at Country.  I've got several old albums of his from the 60's, one is called "Ray Charles - Modern Sounds in Country & Western Music" and it's a great fucking album.  I was just mentioning it on a 'what are you listening to' thread on here a couple weeks ago.  Not only could he do everything, he had style... STYLE BABY.  Nobody was like Ray Charles, and nobody ever will be like Ray Charles.  Name 1 person who doesn't basically love him.  There's absolutely nothing bad to say about this guy, he's an America treasure.  I honest to god was thinking yesterday (I had no idea he was sick)... I found myself somehow wondering if Ray Charles knew his hair had gone grey... LOL.  Anyways, he lived a long life so it's hard to be too sad, but he's gone on to where he belongs: I'm not talking about heaven, I'm talking about history.  This man will be remembered.
