DJ Quik is very VERY UNDERATED!

DJ Quik has got to be one of the most underated artist in Hip Hop!  Production wise, he does EVRYTHING in his beats, EVERYTHING, plays the instruments and does everything himself.  I don't understand why he doesn't get as much props as he should.  PROPS to Jigga and Kiss for usin Quik on they albums.  Chingy too.  Let's just hope that Quik continues to get love like that.

Nah, actually, I been wanting to post this for a while, and seeing all these Quik topics reminded me. lol.  But like you said dog, the key factor is the fact that he does EVERYTHING himself.  He should be mentioned as high, (IF NOT HIGHER) than Dr. Dre.

Always appearing to be on the point of tumbling, he was miraculously able to retain his balance before rounding Peter Shilton and slotting the ball home for a goal manufactured in heaven.

Read some DJ Quik credits, remember G-One?  They used to be a team.  El Debarge plays piano on a lot of his beats, and he hires musicians.  He doesn't do everything himself.  But he is an amazing producer.  He does play/use a considerable amount of the instuments on his beats, but not all.

I think he aint that underated. At least not by everyone. The general audience gives a fuck about Quik, but the general audience gives a fuck about 99% westcoast artists.

He is mad respected in the west, and all west artists recognize him as one of the greatest.

Somebody makes a thread about Quik being underrated yet again...

And as usual, everybody concurs yet again...

Yeah, it's true, DJ Quik doesn't get as much love as he should and isn't as big in the game as he should be, outside the West anyway, but how many times do we have to make a thread about it?
