To the city of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Lakers Fans, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for you incredible support over the last eight years. you have been there with me through it all -- we never could have won any of the championships without you. I am moving on to the next chapter in my career, but i will never forget the support that you gave me. I am very excited about this next opportunity; however, i will miss each and every one of you. Take care Los Angeles and ill see you soon!

Shaquille O'Neal

Well, that's actually surprising.  I figured he would take out a full page ad to whine about why he left, glad to see I was wrong.

why would he do that?  People know why he left.  Fisher did the same and now Shaq.  This is dope

Yeah, Shaq has always had a good heart.  No matter what anybody says about him, he's going to go down as one of the coolest people of all time.

I find myself bashing Shaq a lot lately, but in reality, he was an excellent player and a good person...Greed, selfishness, & jealousy just took over him...I wish he woulda' just accepted the role of being number 2 in L.A... :-\

That took a full page? now thats surprising.

Anyway, I've always liked the kind of person that shaq was. When he would be on interviews and stuff away from basketball he appears to be a really kind and genuine person.

My favorite player since he was drafted by Orlando is now gone.  :'( I understand the league, but I wish we'd still have Shaq. It's all good, rebuild time, but damn. Still got love for Shaq.

MANBEARPIG.

damn, all ya'll look at it as some big great thing he did, I think it was just a move on his publicist's behalf, I doubt hes even seen the ad ;)
