Matter of fact Malone's Lakers eliminated Duncan's San Antonio and Garnett's Minnesota last year, thanx to Malone's defence. I didnt find it annoying, i've found it exciting. ;D

lol. the only difference is Duncan and Garnett OWN their teams, while the Lakers were owned by two players, and none of them was called Malone. Malone on  the Lakers is like Hoiberg on the Wolves, lmao.

btw: isnt this the topic that was "deleted"? LMAO.

That's true...but the big reason Lakers beat Wolves was BECuASE of malone...Twolves had no one to stop him. Gary or Kobe would drive and Malone would be left wide open to reciece a pass and score  easy jump shots..AND HE ALMOST NEVER MISSES THOSE. I saw that over and over agian in that series, it was sad  :'(

I wonder what's the odds of Rush playing point guard, 'cause my man is too good to be on the bench any longer, and I don't see him getting much playing time off Kobe.

There's more chances of Kobe running the point than Rush...When they play on the court at the same time, Kobe brings the ball up usually...PeACe

With Rush, Odom (point forward) and Kobe (can run the point) on the floor i think there're no problems.

either way. I think my man needs more time on the court. He has too much talent to sit there when we need a shooter on the court.

The Lakers' Aug. 6 trade with Boston has been amended: Los Angeles receives Jumaine Jones instead of Marcus Banks, and the Celtics keep their 2005 second-round pick. All other terms are unchanged: The Lakers acquire Chris Mihm in a sign-and-trade deal, along with Chucky Atkins, in exchange for Gary Payton, Rick Fox and a future first-round pick.

Now we have 18 SF, lol. Let's hope they'll make at least another trade, cause like that it's a tragedy. ;D

shit, my bad...they did agree

No love from The Glove

All Gary Payton wants is a little respect. And maybe to play for a team other than the Celtics. After the Lakers traded Payton to Boston, the All-Star point guard was reportedly furious, did not show up for his required physical with his new team and, on Aug. 15, told the Riverside (Calif.) Press-Enterprise that he will quit if facing entering the Celtics' training camp in October. Payton said he didn't have anything against the Celtics, but that he felt the Lakers had failed to honor their agreement with him when Payton exercised his one-year $5.4 million contract option to continue to play in Los Angeles. A multi-player trade between the Lakers and Celtics was amended Aug. 13 after Payton refused to report to Boston for a physical by a deadline, the Lakers said. A Celtics spokesman said the team had agreed in advance to waive the requirement that Payton undergo a physical exam on Aug. 13. The amended trade will now give the Lakers 6-foot-8 forward Jumaine Jones instead of guard Marcus Banks, and the Celtics will no longer be required to give up its second-round draft choice. The Celtics expect Payton to report for training camp Oct. 4, a team spokesman said.

I guess the lakers already though about Payton not doing the physical..smart lol

and why they agreed to do that, i have no idea..you're a laker fan, figure it out!

Well, the trade just went from being decent to being below decent...Lakers are fucking stupid, and if Payton plays for the Celtics, or ends up getting traded for some good players, they'll know it.

Chris Mihm, Chucky Atkins, & Jumain Jones??

Bring back The boy with the future (Marcus Banks), and our 2nd round pick damnit!...Jumain Jones is an underachiever, and played his worst season last year.

Man, what happened is normal. I mean you have the Celtics who got Payton, Fox, cash and 1st round pick in return. But Fox wanted to retire (he will) and Payton refused to show up for his required physical menacing to retire. So they had to keep Banks (the only good PG left in their roster, with probably West), and trade another player, not a PG. Cause they had Payton menacing them to retire. Lakers accepted Jones, cause probably they wanted Mihm and Atkins from that trade, and didnt really care so much about Banks (trade was done, they couldnt have done nothing more). Banks, a Laker fan since he was 12, is furious at Celtics. He wanted to go to L.A.! But Boston now has only him as PG, and maybe West. So they cant trade him no more.

Trade is Chris Mihm, Chucky Atkins, & Jumain Jones to Lakers.
1st round pick and cash (2m $?) to Boston.

If you see it like that, Lakers won.

Still not a great deal. I mean the team is still incomplete. Mimh is a good back-up center, Atkins is a good back-up PG. Jones we dont need him. We miss 1 starting PG and possibly a 3pts shooter.
