I was in NYC last weekend during the marathon... I was listening to the radio trying to hear any Westcoast artists... knowing Snoop had the #1 single... and i didn't hear it (I wasn't listening 24-7, but it being the #1 single... i shoulda at least heard it once).  I was at this club on the lower WESTSIDE and the DJ spun "Drop it like it's hot" and the crowd went crazy, but that was it... no other westcoast play... and they were playing old school Mary J. Blige, Biggie, Puff, etc... but no westcoast love at all.

sent Hot 97 a big 

I just sent them an email asking why snoop has the #1 single and is no where on their playlist.

I actually have heard "drop it like it's hot" and Game's "how we do" out here in Boston.  I heard "how we do" on a mix and the DJ even stopped the record and made it a point to say that Dre has been doing it for a long time and that Game was next to blow.  I was impressed.

I can feel it... the west is about to shine again.

"Drop it Like its Hot" doesnt deserve to be #1 on any list. But if it is #1 everywhere except New York then thats fucked. that station need to get pulled, I remembe on the Beef dvd Mack 10 was talkin about how Westside Connection had the #1 record all over but in New York it had 0 spins.

he may not be gettin any radio play there... but i guarantee he can sell out a couple of shows in the nyc.. i wouldnt even pay that station much attention any..hell any station.. kuz i havent listen to the radio in like what?9 yrs...

i live in ny an ive heard drop it like its hot a few times.  It was on angie martinez's four at 4.  Im surprised to see people shocked tho that a good song like new york is more popular than a wack song like drop it.  And why the fuck do you care so much if hot97 is playing snoop
