Xzibit has mentioned it, he says something like, "mother you taught me better than to waste my money on swine". MC Ren says something along the same lines. Another mention of it is in Boyz N the Hood. When Tray comes home from the BBQ he brings back some food for this father and he says, "this isnt no swine is it". Anyone know the history behind this?

I think his dad is supposed to be Muslim in the movie, and that's how they were trying to portray that.

Yea the argument of not eating pork because it's unhealthy is extremely useless nowadays.
Not eating pork but other meat in times of foot and mouth disease and the mad cow disease. Hilarious.

Actually, the main reason why Muslims don't eat pork is because we only consume meat of animals that are killed a certain way. That method involves the knife cutting across the jugular vein, so that all the blood exits the body of the animal in such a way that none of it gets to the meat. That way the meat stays clean, but this is not possible to perform on the pig due to its natural anatomy.
