Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

Da Game's my favorite.

I used to like Master P, until my homeboy told me that he turned his back on his brother C-Murder, so he ain't really "Bout It, Bout It' like he says he is.  Then my favorite rapper was Lil' John but Chappelle was like making fun of dude and I started to realize he was wack, and his lyrics weren't really the best, he was just beats.

Yo... but now I'm more of a West Coast G, so I'm feeling underground West Coast rappers like Da Game.  He's about to Blow Up though, peace to all West Coast G's.

I like alot of bay area rappers, E-40 & da click are one of my favs, Mac Dre & Mac Mall too.

But i think the realset rapper i ever heard is Immortal Technique, i don't think i have ever heard anyone close to him, besides maybe the new Nas.
