what the media won't tell us and what you'll probably hear if you talked to a soldier coming from iraq is that the insurgents have sent kids in to do dirty work. my cousin said while his unit was standing security over and ammo depot, there were a group of kids that got through the perimeter and were trying to steal explosives, they were also armed and were dealt with like any other armed person...he said they couldn't have been any older than 15

There's no denying that U.S. soldiers are doing a lot of good in Iraq, BUT the fact remains that there are some horrible atrocities. The question is whether the negative is worth the positive? In my opinion it isn't. I value human life way too high to think that it is.

Here's an analogy to kinda put things into perspective:
There's a village with let's say 200 kids. Half of them are killed in a "military mishap". We build a school in that village so that the kids can go to school. Now we have 100 kids going to school, but 100 were killed a week earlier. The 100 going to school are better off since they're now getting an education, but is that worth the deaths of 100 other children? I'm studying economics, so I'd say there's no "marginal benefit". Human life is just too valuable.
