Producers that come close include DJ Quik, Warren G, Daz, and Shock G.  Shock G is underrated.

pros for quik
hes had many albums, all quality albums, each album has a classic no matter what, the beats are dope, sure some of his beats arent the best each time, but to me, hes NEVER came WACK
plus his quiks grooves are the shit, he flows tight, he knows what hes doin......as for popularity wise...its sad that hes underrated to many people, sure dre has game, and aftermath...but game would sound equally dope on a quik beat...i hope they make a song on quiks new album

pros for dre.
hes brought some of the most popular artists..but besides that, his beats...especially that g-funk era sound, all of his stuff in the death row days...fire...2001...damn dope ass album
the thing about dre....2 albums (excluding aftermath), 2 albums aint much...but look at the impact they made in rap, especially the first

those producers are "others" and u posted them. i could make a list wit 30 names but that makes no scene. u think studio ton, slip, khayree...... or "plenty others" are better than dre, quik, daz, warren g? ok, post the name u like the most and everything is fine.

Dre hasnt done any amazing beats(well a few) since Chronic 2001 which was CO produced by Mel-Man and had (supposedly) Ghost producers.
Doggystyle and The Chroinc ware amazing(and one of the bests ever) but ever since he left deathrow he hasnt been as consistent on the board.


Since 91' Quik has been droping amazing beats on every album he has worked on.  Dre has had some below average beats recently espically on the Encore album.
