Murs - Good Music (2CD)
Murs - The End Of The Beginning

Murs 3:16 The 9th Edition is great but I heard one of his other albums and it sure as hell wasn't.
He's borderline nerd rap as far as I'm concerned and he comes off as a white guy trapped in a black guy's body.  That's why I thought that song is pretty stupid.
word, this nerd rap shit has got to die already. theres been like 3 good albums to come outta that entire record label, tops. the cold vein being the best one.

i was reffering to his older stuff, thats why i quoted c2knuckles, but if you really want to know, he will always have that stigma with him. even he knows that. he dissed 95% of his fans in a magazine. i remember talib kweli doing the same thing on rap city. they want to get away from the type of people who like their music, but they never will, cause people cant help what they like...that album is cool, 9th wonder is overrated to me...fake ass pete rock

Murs is tight and I appreciate his music, but that Black thing is used up and (if you let me) stupid. Come on, there's been tons of multi-platinum black artists (rappers and not) before and after Eminem. We are different, that's no doubt. And that's how it should be. There's no race inferior, tho.

The problem is, Eminem makes music for the white people, so what? Black rappers have been doing music for black people for years (and years) and nobody would care. White people still bought it, rappers got rich off that, and still acted like there was no white audience. And now that somebody is getting that white audience, they speak up that black & white shit cause they're losing their sales.

If a white rapper came out speaking how 50cent is multiplatinum cause he's black and he's not selling shit cause he's white and gets no credibility because of it, imagine what would happen. He'd be called racist at the least. Racism is racisim both ways.

I am white and I give a fuck about Eminem, I don't like his music so I don't buy his records. I buy what I like  regardless or their and my race. And that's how it should be, black rappers should realize that hiphop is universal and meant for everyone everywhere. Stop that 'by blacks for blacks' shit, it's played out and not true.

LOL. Murs is my blood cousin so I gotta defend him.

For one, NO WAY he is dissin white people. He is speakin 100% truth, even if you don't agree with his opinion. I understand that white people definitely won't feel this way, and if I was white I might feel like he was "dissin" me but I know that he's definitely not racist at all, but he's just speaking how he feels about things. I'm black, and it's NO WAY IN HELL you could say blacks and whites are not that different. We are different in 100s of ways if you generalize us both or look at our history. There is no better or worst ethnicity, but I realize that we are definitely different, and it's nothin wrong with that.

As far as him bein a white guy trapped in a black guys body, that's ignorant as hell. Makes no sense to me...maybe because he can speak correct english? Maybe because he doesn't gangbang? Maybe because he doesn't portray the stereotypical image that most people seem to think black people are "supposed" to act or talk like because of how we are portrayed in rap music and through the media? I'm a 20 year old educated black man, and I'm pretty damm sure I'll kill anybody in an arguement about what "black" is supposed to be and what it really is.

Word

Some fools are talking out the sides of they necks once again.

And to white boy, if you honestly think the police treat whites and blacks the same, you're really on some shit. Some people are really in denial when it comes to racism.
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.

Lyrically, pervious Murs albums are dope. Musically, this is the only dope one.

White Boy, where you're from and where Murs is from, are two different places. You'd understand if you lived out here, you don't, so you can't understand.

The most classic Murs moment for me was when he performed "And This Is For" and all the white boys stopped singing along! LOL!!! Hilarious. But, don't act like he's only getting at whites, he gets on Blacks too. Don't try to omit that to fit your agenda, Mr. O'Reily.

Yea definitely, his brother actually goes to school with me out in Florida. If you want, I can even get at you next time he's over cause he basically knows everything plus some about him.
