help, what do you do when your phone line cord is too short

ok im tryin to reach the other side of the house, and i got a 50ft cord and it cant reach, what do i do? is there some sort of adapter thing i can put in the middle and then attach another 50 ft cord, if so, what is it called, and where can i get it?
