the thing that really adds into batista's hyped up fanbase is the fact that he has really paid his dues. a lot of the newcomers are relatively young superstars coming in and beating vetarans within just a couple of years. batista is 35 years old and since he came in, hes just been used as a stepping stone so the smaller wrestlers can come in and beat him to look like they overcame the obstacles as underdogs. he was basically a jobber for the up-coming superstars. and now batista is finally in the position of those who he's been losing to for the past years.

Big Dave might be 35 but he's only been wrestling afew years. He just started really late. I personally don't care for the whole pay your dues way of thinking. It comes down to paying the bills, not the dues. Goldberg didn't pay any dues but one of the best things WCW did for the future of the company was put the belt on him during his undefeated streak, and the stupidest thing they did was have Nash beat him.

yeah, in terms of business that was smart for the wcw. but that shit clearly didnt work in the wwe, goldberg was a face his whole career there and look how many times he's been booed worse than triple h or the anti-americans. because a shit loada wwe fans dont even think hes a real wrestler, just a guy who got fed with a silver spoon

and i kno batista is new, thats why i compared him with other newcomers

That wasn't Goldberg's fault. They booked him wrong. Goldberg is like Mariano Rivera on the Yankees, he's great for a quick inning, but not the whole game. Can you imagine Rivera starting and pitching 7 or 8 innings? He'd suck. Goldberg should have been brought in to destroy comeptition, not face them in 15 minute matches. The second Goldberg comes in he's in a long match with Rock and wearing Golddust's gold wig. He should have been brought in as the monster he was in WCW and he would have gotten over. It's just about being a face, it's about being booked strong as a face and champion. Benoit was champ, but during his whole title reign he was playing second fiddle to HHH vs HBK or HHH vs Eugene, and then the WWE had the nerve to think Benoit wasn't working as champ, when he never got a real chance.

yea benoit got fucked over bigtime. they used the whole "i've been fightin for this my whole life" inspiration story on him to lead into wrestlemania, and after that they dumped him out. same with jericho after the undisputed championship, although he did have a good, long run as a heel. thank god eddie guerrero is still doing pretty good even tho he isnt in the main event picture anymore

Just like McMahon's entrance theme; NO CHANCE IN HELL! I predict Big Dave lasts for 2 to 6 months and then HHH is back on top unfortunately.

Always remember that HHH is the Son In Law. So WWF(never call it the present name) will always pass the title around but he (HHH) will always get it back. Always. He ain't the first 10 time champ either, technically its the ROCK...if they would add it up, i think. Yea I think Rock does have 10 underneath him combined.

What about Flair and Hogan? They both have more than 10 titles.

well the WWF is approaching it from THEIR standpoint, meaning WWF titles. When they refer to Flair they commonly hint at that.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

But the belt HHH currently wears is historically the Ric Flair belt. The WWE belt is the one Bradshaw has.

True the belt that HHH has is Flair's Old WCW belt, but....it is the RAW World Heavyweight Title. Big difference.

The only big difference in my mind is one guy won the belt 16 times (actually it was more like 20) because the booking commitee realized that when he wasn't champ the numbers dropped, and the other guy won the belt 10 times because he's on the booking commitee and his father in law wants to push him. One guy earned the title, the other asked for it.
