It's called Devils and Dust and is supposively a combination of his different styles. Ranging from acoustic folk to small musical accompaniment, to full out rock and roll, and a little touch of country here and there; it should be a solid album. A couple songs were written and performed on the Ghost of Tom Joad tour so this leads a lot of people to believe that it'll be a soft album like Joad was but keep in mind that Born in The USA and most of the other songs from that album were written and originally intended for the Nebraska album, so this could very well be a lot more rocking than most expect. I've heard rumours of a song that may or may not make the album that is "very cotraversial" and could result in the first ever Boss album with a Parental Advisory sticker. My guess is it's an anti war or anti Bush song. I still don't get why it would need a Parental Advisory sticker. I mean it's not like anyone under 40 (except me) is gonna buy this CD anyway.

Columbia Records will release Bruce Springsteen's nineteenth album, 'Devils & Dust,' on April 26. 'Devils & Dust' features twelve new Springsteen songs.

'Devils & Dust' Track List

1. Devils & Dust
2. All The Way Home
3. Reno
4. Long Time Comin'
5. Black Cowboys
6. Maria's Bed
7. Silver Palomino
8. Jesus Was an Only Son
9. Leah
10. The Hitter
11. All I'm Thinkin' About
12. Matamoras Banks

DEVILS & DUST... DUAL DISC? DEFINITELY!
Album release to include film footage, surround sound
When Bruce's new album is released on April 26, it will be his first in the two-sided Dual Disc format, which combines both CD and DVD content on the same disc. One side will be standard audio -- a CD of the full album (for track listing, see below). On the flipside will be DVD content, including both audio and video. How's this for a B-side: the DVD portion will include the entire album in 5.1 channel surround sound and in 2-channel stereo, as well as a special Devils & Dust film by Danny Clinch, capturing Springsteen at work. Clinch, whose work with Bruce has included The Rising album cover as well as the "Countin' on a Miracle" video, filmed acoustic performances of five songs to be included here: "Devils & Dust," "Long Time Comin'," "Reno," "All I'm Thinkin' About," and "Matamoras Banks."

According to Columbia promotional material, there will be two different packages for Devils & Dust, similar to the release of The Rising: a standard edition (#CN93900, $18.98 list), and a special edition (#CN94253, $24.98 list). Both will contain the Dual Disc; the packaging looks to be the only difference. The special edition is described as "a deluxe accordion-style package with bonus photographs and unique, song-specific elements for each of the CD's 12 tracks.” We can also now confirm that both packages will feature the "Parental Advisory: Explicit Content" label, a first for Bruce. (The advisory sticker is apparently unrelated to previous rumours of a controversial "missing" 13th track. According to one source close to the project, "There was never any discussion with the record label about Bruce changing anything on the new CD. As always, the CD that he handed in is the one that's coming out.")

The preliminary artwork pictured above comes from an official Columbia buyway for the album, with the note that "Cover art is not final." Whether or not this is the actual album cover, it's our first glimpse at the design direction for D&D, with a typeface very familiar from a little album we like to call Nebraska. Bless you, Franklin Gothic Extra Condensed, it's been a long time...

Definetly checking this out.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

I think the first single is Devils and Dust (same as the album title). I've heard rumours of it coming in March.

Infinite; you really never heard of Bruce, or are you just trying to be funny? The guy went 15x platinum with Born in the USA (25X world wide). He was the highest grossing act in the US just last year.

For some reason, I could never stand Bruce Springsteen.  I have no idea why, it's not political... I haven't liked this guy since I was a kid.  He gives me bad vibes for somereason.  I dont' like any of his music, and I don't particularly like even looking at him, or seeing his name.  Kind of strange.  I will definately not be checking this out.
