Source: PWInsider.com

The WWE informed Rhyno this afternoon that that he was being released due to an incident at WrestleMania 21 with his wife in the hotel lobby.

We will see if WWE makes an announcement on their website however it is confirmed that Rhyno is finished with WWE as of this afternoon.

I think this is stupid for 2 reasons:

1. With all the backstage shit Randy Orton has done, they keep him but fire Rhyno for this one incident  ::)

2. The WWE have an ECW ppv coming up soon and Rhyno being part of ECW back in the day wouldve obviously been a great addition to the show.

I just think the WWE were looking for any reason to release him, seeing as how they werent even using him on TV or anything and figured they could save a few bucks with him gone.

... he had some kind of dispute with his wife at the hotel where the wrestlers were staying for WM weekend and destroyed a flower pot (or something similar lol) in the lobby... like he threw it to the ground out of his anger... I think it was that way... lol

... reminds me of those days in WcW when Juventud Guerrera (I think it was him) was all high and shit and acted crazy in that hotel lobby where he was stripping or something... lol

Rhyno has garnered some major heat with WWE management after an incident at the Universal Sheraton, the site of the WWE's party following WrestleMania 21.

Reportedly, Rhyno got into an arguement with his wife, and then destroyed a large flower pot. There were several witnesses to the event. The company is very upset with Rhyno over this, especially since it happened in front of other guests of the hotel. Rhyno was not used for any tapings at RAW on Monday.

I think it's sad that they would release Rhyno from the WWE based on a incident like that. I don't think it would be serious enough for them to fire the guy. They haven't been using Rhyno that much since they brought him over from Smackdown.Since then, he's been banished to dark matches and Sunday Night Heat and most recently, He jobbed to a guy with way less talent, Batista?
Give me a friggin' break! So Randy Orton gets to shit in a lady's purse and he gets rewarded with a match with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 21 and a big payoff. The WWE dropped the ball on this one especially since the ECW PPV is in the works and they could have defintely used the "man-beast".

Rhyno's incedent was public and done in front of the fans & investors of the WWE. Orton to date hasn't done anything wrong in front of the fans.

Orton will be gone for the next 6 months after having shoulder surgery on thursday

Back in March former WWE Diva search contestant Rochelle was  backstage at RAW for the first time when approached by Randy Orton, she reportedly blew him off, not knowing who he was. Pissed off about the incident, Randy Orton pulled a nasty prank later on  by placing his own feces inside her purse, ruining all of her personal belongings. Since then, she's been moved to Smackdown.

Management was upset when they were informed of the backstage incident at RAW. Randy Orton is known backstage as a womanizer and comes off as arrogant and cocky to the rest of the locker room. He's known to have a very bad attitude towards his peers and fans alike. In a isolated incident after a RAW house show at Madison Square Garden, he snapped at a young fan when the kid asked for his autograph after the show. He gave the little kid the middle finger as he got into his rental car and drove off.

Randy Orton will be undergoing shoulder surgery and will be out of action for six months. He's rumored to switch to the Smackdown brand upon his return.

here's a little more info:

-It has been reported that Rhyno and his wife are going through a seperation at the moment and he flipped at the WrestleMania party on Sunday night and destroyed hotel property.

When Tommy Dreamer tried to clam the situation down, Rhyno said he did not care if he was fired. He was scheduled to wrestle for the IWA promotion in Puerto Rico next weekend but will mostly likely be replaced.

I dunno, you have to look at it from the WWE's perspective.

1. They've been paying Rhyno for years to basically do nothing.  When he WAS doing something, he wasn't doing much, and although he was mildly 'over' with the fans, he never would have been able to carry a title match, or in any stretch of the imagination be world champ.

2. Randy Orton is a third generation superstar, the descendant of two legends, wildly popular with the fans, in extremely great physical conditioning, a great ring wrestler, young with many, many years ahead of him, talented on the mic, looks good, and can carry a heavyweight match, as well as be a believable world champion.

You're looking at two entirely different types of wrestlers.  Rhyno fucked up when he acted a fool in front of 'customers' of a company that's been paying him for years to do nothing.  He bit the hand the feeds him.  Randy Orton could fuck up far, far worse than he has already, and get away with it for all the reasons I mentioned above, he actually has something to offer the WWE, and isn't a charity case like Rhyno.

I agree with most of the stuff you've said but how far can management allow Randy Orton to treat his peers and other wrestlers with disrespect,
and most of all the fans. They are the reason why he has a paycheck, not the stockholders.
They compare him a lot to The Rock but even The Rock did not have the attitude and cockiness(It can work for or against you) that Randy Orton has.Besides, He pales in comparison to The Rock as far as achievements in the ring is concerned. When they thought Randy Orton was ready to be the franchise and put the world title on him by removing him from Evolution and turning him babyface, the fans spoke by booing the hell out of him, which they still do.

As for Rhyno, It's a very unfortunate situation for the guy.I hope somewhere down the road we will see him again.
