Fandangle similar to In Da Club?
« on: April 30, 2005, 12:45:26 PM »
sup yall

now listen to what i have to say before you guys verbally kick the shit out me...

I love Quik to death and think that the new single is hot as fire.  But I couldn't help notice that it had a similar feel (instrumental wise) to In Da Club.  It was almost like a remix to In Da Club.  It had that feel to it, ya know what i'm sayin

I'm not sure if this was done purposely or by accident, but I'm glad Quik did it.  I think he kept it westcoast, but put a dr. dre-type of commercialism on the beat that was similar to In Da Club...

I just hope it blows up as big as In Da Club, cuz Quik deserves it

Doesn't sound similar to me. Nice song, though.

I never thought of it like that but I see why u say that. The drums hit the same way, and the main melody has that strong sharp sound thats similar to the melody on In da club. But the mood and feel of the songs are a lot different. I strongly doubt that it blows up anywhere near In Da Club, which some people say was the biggest song since 2000.

IMO this song is just as good as In da club. Quik got better flow and voice. But Quik has got to get his name out their more.

In da club got spins 24/7 everywhere

Fandangle wont get spins outside LA

I don't think it sounds the same. Quik has been working with a lot of big artist recently. It probably won't be played in NY, but I bet I'd hear it here a couple times.

Thought it sounded the same immediately - it's the staccato hits that do it, although Quik's track has more of a West Coast bounce to it.

the horns on the track give a dre feel to it..... thats the sound that catches attention ATM so Quik made it for his single...

now i know most of you hate on Chingy, but i cant wait to hear Chingy on Quiks album, Quik and Chingy make FIRE!!!! think of bagg up and Circus Music with free....

this song wont blow like in da club, but i hope it gets into top 50, i want to bounce to this track in a club !!!!
