i have hated ferguson for a long time and it can all be summed up by his most 2 recent press releases.

Sir Alex Ferguson said he is concerned there may be a "sinister" reason behind the lack of penalties awarded to Manchester United this season.

Ferguson was angry when referee Neale Barry ignored claims for a foul on Alan Smith in Sunday's game with Newcastle.

"It is getting ridiculous now. I am not sure if they are instructed but it is looking sinister to me," said Ferguson.

"That is the same referee who gave Portsmouth a penalty against us for the slightest tug by Rio Ferdinand."

Ferguson said he felt United were paying the penalty for a debatable penalty awarded to them against Arsenal when Sol Campbell was judged to have felled Wayne Rooney.

United went on to win 2-0 in the match which ended Arsenal's record 49-match unbeaten run.

"Since that penalty kick against Arsenal, it seems to me we are not going to get another no matter what the circumstances," he said.

"One of our players will need to get shot for us to get one."



I'd love to see the amount of penalties Man Utd have been awarded over the last 5/10 years compared to everyone else.

Now that they are actually getting the same fair amount as everyone else - there is a conspiracy against them.

Manchester United's players will give champions Chelsea a guard of honour on Tuesday - but Sir Alex Ferguson insists that the Blues are not a better side.

After confirming his men would applaud the Blues on to the Old Trafford pitch ahead of the match, Ferguson said: "There is nothing between the sides.

"Leagues can be decided on incidents like the penalty-kick decisions at Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford.

"And that is the thin dividing line we have got."

United's manager also warned his counterpart Jose Mourinho that the Red Devils, who are set to finish third for the second successive season, would be chasing Chelsea hard next term.

"Chelsea will know fine well that we will be one of their challengers next year and they will be one of ours. It will be a hard league.

"Liverpool are improving and Spurs are improving and with Arsenal, Chelsea and ourselves it's going to be fantastic."

But the Old Trafford chief did give Mourinho, who he has not always seen eye to eye with, some praise ahead of the game.

"I think he has enjoyed it. It's not an easy league to get involved in for your first year in English football.

"The Premier division is very difficult so I think he has deserved his title. They have done very, very well and they are a very good, powerful team."

Ferguson is looking forward to stopping Chelsea inflicting another defeat on United after losing at Stamford Bridge on the opening day of the season and losing a Carling Cup semi-final second leg at Old Trafford.

He said: "I think you're going to see a very relaxed Chelsea team playing against us on Tuesday night.

"They have won the league and we are looking forward to a cup final so we want to be in good form ourselves, so it should be a terrific match."

Now that a big game is closing in - he has to start the mind games.

And if one person is allowed to say "Chelsea are not better" then it is Arsene Wenger - not Ferguson.

Arsenal can compete with Chelsea - Man Utd can't.

lol at giggs n keane over the hill players...Keane is still one of the best at his job, his dedication and influnence is second to none hes been injury prone but when he plays he cuts out balls and tackles out the opposition and Giggs when under pressure he puts in lovely performances still.

That list of top 5 mangers..lol at Mourinho and Wenger being better then Ferguson. They are good managers no doubt but Wenger aint got the record of  Alex and loses the mind games against him. Wenger is great at spotting young talent and building them players up whilst Ferguson is great at building up further experienced n cultured players. Mourinho though young for a manager his rep is debatable. Winning the champions league n title with Porto was not so hard his Porto team played less harder games/rested more between certain games and that domestic league was easy against what the premiership, Seria A etc teams face..His victory over Utd in the champions league is aslo debatable...I think most mangers have a good shot at winning titles when a russian billionare is pouring in millions for you to fuck around with, even Ranieri came close in champions league and the premiership.
